Drained it in the old kitchen. Carried it to the car. Drove it to work. Filled it back up.
Took about an hour! (a major relief after spending a whole day breaking down my old 56G and smelling the sand bed that had been undisturbed for 3 years)
a modifed biocube (airstone) skimmer would probally work youd have to shorten chamber... but then again with such a small tank water changes really dominate. How do you plan to change water in office? transport new water from home?
I drilled the back of my fluval edge to allow for a 2.5g sump, with an aquaticlife nano skimmer on it. Works much bettr than the cruddy HOB filter that came with the tank 2 years ago.
I have ordered two of "MR11 Cool White 10 SMD 5050" LED bulbs. They appear to be the same construction as the ones I'm running now, but ideally will be a cooler color temp.
Since color temp is subjective, I'm hoping that these are the right color. If they are, I will be paying forward the LED's I have now (from SkullV) to another Fluval Edge owner.
