This One Goes Out To All Those Whos Wife Said NO!!!

well i would have posted pics, but unfortunatly i watched in slow motion as they fell off table to concrete floor and shattered b4 my eyes. I may be able to save 1 with the use of two, but it will require some thought and work. It as of right now is a 140 dollar loss.

What happened was late after valentines day i came through garage to unload the 55 gallon tank i bought for sump. I was very unsure of the skimmer fitting into the sump (which it fits but needs to be replumbed on skimmer). On a work bench/ old stand i had the skimmer and two reactors. Also laid across this table was a siderail to a bed i broke down. So i pick the skimmer up not knowing the side rail was off balance and it waivers sending the first reactor falling to the ground. Now me im holding my skimmer kick my leg out to stop the falling reactor when bam it hits and breaks the bottom. Next i turn to mu left where the other reactor is falling, and the bed rail, it hits and bam bedrail lands dead center smashing the reator and shattering it. I have the base from one and i think a dremel will allow me to use the parts to build one out of two. I have also ordered another one today to replace the last one.

Well she was standing at the door watching, and i think she knew it would be a sore subject to react badly. Neither one of us wanted to fight on valentines day. She is pretty good about picking her battles so she didnt say much. It may have been the fact i just bought her a king size bed she has been wanting for ever. but a loss is a loss.

P.s. i have not told her i ordered another!!!!

That sounds just right. Do it all the time. Later I pull the Oh, by the way... Good that could've gone bad. Maybe our wives should talk because, mine has issues with picking the battles. (they all seems to be the right battle.) Hope this doesn't stall out the build to much. Really looking forward to this.

Cool juggernaut, always good to see a fellow texan on the thread. Not a whole lot of progress has been made, in fact i have kinda neglected the build. I have the base of the stand almost 100% complete just need to put the top on and start the painting process. I have my aunt down from illinois and i would like her to do a faux finish on the base, but due to time we have not been able to schedual a time. End of next month i will have my cousin prater down from illinois to help assemble the sump and plumbing. Sort of at a stand still until i can get these people assembled to help me assemble. Should be alot of good progress between this months and next.

I have to tag along.......born in Chicago....now live in TX....90 miles from Houston

If you need any help just pm me and I'll see what I can do.
