How do you lower ORP reading, mine have crept up to 422, any my unit is not even on. Controlled by a Milkaukiee

Before you try and lower your reading, clean your probe. When it gets even a little skim of crap on it, the readings will go up. I clean mine weekly, use a very soft toothbrush. And if that doesn't work, and you still need to lower your ORP reading, do a small water change. Mine always drops after I do one.

Ok, I think I understand everything other then people that add an air pump. Why do you do this? This isn't necessary if you have a venturi sucking ozone into the skimmer is it? This assumes I get the Enaly without built in pump. Thanks.

You want this type of desiccant. There are a number of places you can buy it, I'm sure ebay is one of them.

I been running ozone for a month.

Initially for the first week my skimmer went crazy and pull out lots of gunk from the water. However, as the weeks pass, the skimmer seem to works less and don't pull out as much even when compared with before I started on ozone. Is it normal?
Now after 1 week from cleaning the collection cup, I see only maybe 50% of what I used to get before ozone.

The water looks great though, really clear. A little confused.........

I too have been using ozone for about 2 weeks now and I still get god awful skimate. Everyone runs when I go to dump it.

The skimmate production went down after a week.

With that said, I am also running an Aqua C EV120 (inject the ozone into that), and an Aqua C Remora - it's a spare so why not.

I do bi-weekly water changes.

I added a Red Sea 50 about 2 weeks ago. Tank was reading 270 the first 4 days and I didnt start dosing ozone until then. its running at 360 now and my skimmer production is way down. I have noticed my filter sock gets much dirtier faster though. I had very clear water before and I have to say its much clearer now. I am monitoring closely. I also run a UV and a phosphate reactor. So far Im happy with the results but not overwhelmed like some of those are on this board.

The fact you run u.v. is probably why .. U.V. clarifies the water dramatically too...

By smell. Just don't get too close, or breath in too much.

Sweet smelling, you will notice it. Just be careful because it can burn you, smell from a foot away, if nothing then a little closer and so on.
