tnuze nanos on wavemaker???

Hi guys, looking for powerheads to use with a wavemaker. I currently use maxi-jet 1200 but they only produce 295gph Iam looking for more. I like Tunze and was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Tunze Turbelle NanoStream Pump 6025 . I know they say they will flow around 660gph but Iam not sure if they can handle the constant on/off. Always get good advice here so I hope to hear some good feed back. Thanks Reef

not meaning to hijack your thread bro reefkeeper, but i would like to know also, if the Tunze Nano 6025s may be controlled by any wave-making controller, or if Tunze is planning to release a wavemaker for them in the future.

The 6025 Nanostream is not for use with a wavemaker they should not be switched more then every 15 minutes. The 6055 is designed for very fast switching on the Tunze 7095 controller.

I plan to alternate my flow from a clockwise direction to a counter-clockwise direction per the diagram below:

The controller that I plan to use is the Reef Fanatic Wavemaker. The two pumps will be plugged in outlets A & C using program mode #6 (http://www.reeffanatic.com/products/wavemakers/wave_rfwc.pdf). The cyclic program is as follows:

On 12.5 minutes
off 7.5 minutes
On 2.5 minutes
off 7.5 minutes

On 12.5 minutes (repeat)

The two pumps will follow the same cyclic program but will be staggered by 15 minutes. Will the Tunze 6025 work in this application?

The problem is not that I want to switch the gyre flow rapidly. I would be content to switch every hour. I simply cannot find a suitable controller that will switch more slowly.

(1) How quickly can the 6045 be switched?
(2) What happens to the powerhead when it is switched too rapidly?

Nevermind. I did some research and was able to answer most of my questions regarding switching rate.

I will probably place two Nanostream 6025 units on timers to switch every hour. Have the problems with reverse flow been solved? I haven't purchased the 6025 units yet so I can wait for a new revision to come out.
