Thank you, h.cordero! The wood is mahogany. There are 12 canons. I don't plan to run true night lights, but for early morning and evening I will dim the lights down to low output.
Only for knowledge mahogany wood (Swietenia macrophylla) is a vulnerable wood to go extinct banned by CITIES agreement!
great work! how about a little look into the home theater portion of this build! Are you doing a thread on avsforum?
I wonder how the fish are gonna feel when the subs are hitting in the high teen frequencies, I know my windows don't appreciate it with just a single svs pb12nsd I could only imagine what you got going on in there, please say paradigm signatures so I can really get jealous

Excellent point, h.codero. I should have clarified that the wood is southeast asian mahogany, which is a different species from the endangered south american mahogany. You can see in the photos that the grain is not as uniform as a true mahogany, but the tradeoff is worth it to use sustainable material.
Thanks, S14Swap240sx! I need to create an avsforum thread as there is a lot of interesting stuff in the media space. I won't derail this thread with a ton of off topic stuff, but the quick highlights on the media are: Dennis Erskine design and build with extensive acoustical treatments including a 25' x 32' x 18" bass trap; 21,000 watts of Procella with bass provided by four 18's, three 15's, and two 10" subs; 12' Starglas rear projection screen with 4 way masking; 25,000 lumen 4K 60Hz Display Development projector. End result is ability to deliver 132 dB from 16Hz on up, and a brighter-than-plasma image that looks great even with all blinds open on a sunny day. Most amazing to me, subjective black levels are comparable to the 8G Kuro, not something I expected to be possible with a high output 3-chip DLP.
Bottom line, the fish will need to put up with some occasional rumbling. Our previous tank shared the room with a 110 dB audio system and the fish never reacted. I'm hoping that will be the case here as well.
