tunze wavebox in action

Roger,, you take all the fun outta moping up the floor!.. hehe..

So your honest opinion is these are suited better for tanks 24" wide and wider? with at least 4'-5' in length? and I would say at least 24" of depth.....

Nathan

The wavebox isn't the issue, it is the Streams. They just work best witha 24" wide aquarium minimum and 24" depth minimum. The wavebox works fine so long as the tank is at least 36" long.

Sean, their are two restaurants around here that have good Jaeger Schnitzel. My favorite is G Towne in Georgetown, an old German settlement. It is a dry town though so no beer but you can bring your own, you just can't buy it. He makes a cream style gravy, the cook/owner is from Bavaria. The other one is Der Lindenbaum in Fredericksburg, another old German settlement and the lady that owns the place is from Germany - in Fredricksburg people still speak German. She makes a red wine mushroom gravy. I don't like at as much but it is a more impressive restaurant- Der Lindenbaum is for dates and important guests and G Towne is a cool place for going with the guys. Either way I have to drive 30-70 minutes for a good Schnitzel so keep up the good work.

Hey Roger,
I am from Texas and we used to go to Munster (sorry, no umlauts on this PC) for the Oktoberfest held yearly there.
The best German restaurants outside of Germany HAVE to be there.
I swear by them.
Sean

Could you comment on its use in a cube tank mentioed above. 42X42X30 I have a stream in there now and am deciding to add another or add a wave box when they come. TIA

I can't say for sure how it will work in such a tank. In cases like this I would wait until a friend gets one or use one on a traditional tank and then try it out on the cube. I expect it will work fine but the width will have an effect, it will shorten the wave most likely and may require an extension set. Unfortunately all our tests are in rectangular tanks but we did try a triangular tank and some fairly wide tanks. It will work, I just don't know how well.

Speedstar , I bet if you put one in a Opposing corner you could create a Tsunami.........Set it outta sync with the other one

Im a little confused first your opion on acrylic and the box was ok then you said that (wait what did you say)

Blah blah blah Would the thing be ok with an acrylic tank???
The plastic might bend right.

BLAH BLAH BLAH

YOU ALSO TALK ABOUT THE 6200 being made for fish care was that thing redisigned what do you mean by fish care??
Im interested in that product if you could tell me any thing.

Gee ziz Im such a clud today

how come there no distributer in canada for tunze.

It comes with a controller to pulse the unit, this controller can further be coupled to the multicontroller to add tide and night modes.

Bugger, you do have a distributor- Phil Gilbert of Xenia, also the Giesemann distributor for North America. It should work on an acrylic tank but I am not going to swear to something I have never tried, I don't own any acrylic tanks and acrylic is uncommon in Europe so we have no tests, I see no reson why it would not work but the magnet holders will be required and the unit must be able to breathe so the complication is more of the depth of the water level and will it work with an overflow box without modifying the teeth, etc. I can say 100% it will work with All Glass and Oceanic and that is all I am willing to go out on a limb and guarantee because I have tried it myself.

Fish care pulses the pump every 20seconds to scare fish away from swimming into the pump when food timer or tide mode is in use.

<!-- Rivikto I was just in Big gay al's also known as Big als fish store and the manager claims there's no distrbutor for tunze in canada.
other stores just look at me funny when I mention your tunze products.
And some say your prices are to high.-->

Bugger,

We are a friendly, family community here. Please do not post in such a manner in the future.

Tide Mode? How does this work?

Thanks: Fzech

Tide mode is a feature on the multicontroller. It is called Interval Mode I on the new multicontroller. It works by turning off a pump for a period of time and then the other comes on. When used with a wavebox the ideal is to run the wavebox and the pump on the side of the wavbox together for 6 hrs and then shut off the wavebox and run the pump on the opposite side by itself for 6 hrs.
