UCSB Santa Barbara NSW Natural Sea Water...

When was the last time you guys got water out there? I tried about a month ago and their wasnt water coming out...

2 weeks ago, I don't think I have ever seen it down. Must have been a hiccup when you were there 29reef.

Still do work there every week just on wednesdays for now. That will be ending soon because I will be working full time for the bank.

Got water 3 weeks ago with no problems. I'm headed up probably sometime this weekend again to get water.

Been using it for about 4 years now with no problems. Everything looks better than it ever did with ASW.

Also remember that UCSB uses this exact same water we get in ALL of their research projects. So I'd say it's pretty good water if they are using it in research projects. ;)

I quit the bank about 6 weeks ago. The only thing I miss is being close to UCSB. I dont miss my Fillmore->Goleta commute.

Im overdue for a water change. I better do one before the new baby comes next week. :D

man this sucks i am 1 hr away from from scripps and 2 hrs from UCSB i just wish they had one here in Long Beach i guess i am stuck at paying 33c a gallon for catalina water.

Where do you get your CW for 33c? Tikis?

Picked up some water this past Fridsay night. The holder for the garden hose has been tore off the wall. If anyone reads this, please take some screws and screwdriver up with you next time and put it back on. Also please post here if your going to fix it. I won't be back up there for a few weeks.

I picked up some water tonight...
Wish I would have read this thread before I went up there.
I would have fixed the hose holder.

Sorry it took so long to get it fixed. Go figure work on campus for 3+ years straight then get transferred to the office this week. I had to pull in a favor but it is fixed.

Ok time for me to get a Drum in the back of my truck and head up there and try this water. Or should i head south and get it in SD?
I will have to look into this deeper but i am going to make the change

I'm still new to this, so please forgive my ignorance. Do you guys just take big 50 gallon drums down there to get water, or how do you get it? I live on Vandenberg Air Force Base right outside of Lompoc, and I'm definitely willing to make that drive if I'm going to get free water in bulk. Please give me any good suggestions for bringing it home. Thanks in advance.

make sure you can haul that much weight on your truck, also make sure you can tie down your drums on the four corners of your truck bed or car corners. Also, have a plan of what to do once you get home, how you get the water to holding tanks and such.
