Wazzel's mostly SPS 120

Just a question... Are you going to cut out the back of the stand or leave as is. All the stands I have ever had with my tanks had a cutout in the back which I have been told before is for air transfer??? So just throwing that out there, by no means am I saying that's how its supposed to be.

No plans to cut the back out. I have slots for cord passage. I want to contain the sound and protect the wall. With a tank up against a wall you really do not have much air flow even with the stand open.

A stand is so important, especially if the tank is designed for longevity, Mark, you have done and outstanding job with the stand, I know this is only a precursor for what is to come, I applaud your patience. I know life can get demanding, especially when you have children...lol.... So for that, your reward will be down the road, but one well crafted, and most definitely deserved... Now get this thing wet already :)

Thanks Perry, in time. I am going to put off building the floating canopy and support cabinet until after the transfer. Starting to get antsy myself.

Getting close to building my sump, need to sort out what skimmer to use. Plan is to use my current skimmer initially then upgrade after I sell the 60 set up. I like to over size my skimmer but would like a quiet one. Any suggestions for something in the 200 gal rating size?

Personally I love Skimz monster with DC pumps. I have the SM-163 DC had it in use on my old 65 and still using it in my system that's over 300g total volume now. It's so quiet never would know it's on if u didn't see the bubbles. Great build quality and won't break the bank.

Yes I wouldn't choose it over a bubble king if I had the $$

I have a sm203 on my 93 cube and I absolutely love it, so easy to dial in, although I've only been using it around 2 months or so I feel like from previous reviews pump reliability may be an issue I've got a replacement pump on hand, but for 70 bucks to replace the pump I would be happy to have it last me 2 years, not a big deal for me to have such a workhorse.

I did not get squat done on the tank this weekend. Had a party for my wife, it was her birthday Friday. Saturday was clean up and Sunday was house work and dinner at my parents.

Pic of wife and I at her party and one of Angus just to keep life in the thread.
