When does a DD fish typically arrive at your house

What time of day does a DD order arrive at your house. This is because I placed a order and expecting it to arrive tomorrow. I want to find time that the animal is usually on your door step.

They've shipped mine Fedex Priority One so by 10:30am. But my fish were always pricy. You should have received the tracking number if you're ecpecting it tomorrow. That'll tell you what time to expect it by.

I'm in the boonies of CT so rarely before 10:30; sometimes a little after. Don't want stuff sitting on the porch this time of year, plus the deer are all starving so I half expect to see them eying the cardboard box :).

So what goodies are you getting???

Well since it is my first online order, go big or go home! :fun4:

They use UPS now, not FedEx... FYI.

The last time I ordered from them the ups driver drove off with one of my two boxes after throwing the first box 5ft my doorstep.

I just about had to restrain myself when I finally caught up to him. His attitude required manual adjustment. These drivers are not supposed to be idiots but mine clearly has bigger issues than delivering boxes. Had a long discussion about the footage with corporate.

Are you sure they are using ups? It's always been fedex during the week and oops for saturday delivery that I can remember.

By manual adjustment I mean I ordered 15 200g boxes of instant ocean.

I have mine held at the FedEx or ups facility and pick it up there, so I get the package between 9 and 10 and I don't have to worry about timing the truck. Just an option for you for future orders.

Fed Ex priority for me is always in the late afternoon. I've had fish arrive dead because of that. Now I always request they ship it UPS and I have it before 10 a.m. every time. Fed Ex Sucks *** where I'm at.

This sounds all too familiar. The last fish I got from DD was dropped off by UPS. I was waiting by my door when the guy pulled up, went to the back of the truck to grab my package then dropped the box that said live fish on it from chest height! I freaking lost it. I ran out to the truck calling him everything but a white man and threatened him several times, honestly I wanted to go toe to toe with him in the street. Called UPS and expressed my extreme displeasure with them and told them NEVER to send that driver back to my house. Needless to say I have packages that arrive daily from UPS and I am yet to see the Dbag that delivered my fish again

Was just going to order from DD the other day so I called to check and they ship UPS. Unfortunately UPS doesn't deliver next day at my location until sometime around 5:30 PM (read the UPS fine print). Since its been cold here (-12 this morning) I didn't place the order. A couple of years ago I received a Flame wrasse pair via UPS that were DOA. The water temp was 33 deg!

They switched from FedEx to UPS about a year ago. So far (for me), the switch hasn't been a problem. Usually get overnight deliveries by 10:30am give or take.

I prefer FedEx to UPS in general, though. They used to always deliver LA/DD shipments well before 10:30 -- sometimes before 10:00. I know my FedEx guy (lives in the area) and he's always friendly and professional. I never seem to get the same UPS guy each time. Either their turnover is really high, or they rotate the drivers' routes frequently.

DD is using UPS now and shipments can arrive at any time during the day. sadly, no more early morning delivery!!!!
