wild blue/turquoise stag turning green/brown

I have acquired this wild sps coral for about a month already. I was really blue/turquoise in color now its fading to a different color. The picture don't really show it but its turning into green polyps with a brownish body. Is there any way to turn back into the original blue/turquoise color? I heard wild sps turns brown after a month or two, but then if conditions are right 6 months later it'll turn to a totally different color. Any info?

This is one of the reasons wild colonies are not as desired as Tank raised.

maybe try a 400w, that baby came from under the sun, and a 250 isnt' close in intensity. i agree, why i prefer non-wild acros.

I have a few blue stags and all need bright light to keep that color. Although there are many factors to consider that effect coral coloration IMO that 14k bulb isn't producing enough PAR. I have mine almost directly under 250 XM 10k bulbs.

Guess I'd should stick to aquacultured sps. I got some aquacultured sps and they are nice and stay the color I orginally got it. But then again, don't they farm sps corals from the ocean too? Would those stick to their orginal colors or fade just like the wild ones? By the way MIKE NY, those are nice blue stags.

thanks....when placed lower in my tank the microphthalma turns brown with just blue tips and the insignis turns green with blue tips
