Worm's 180 build

For those that have not heard about MACNA 2015... I WILL be going to it.

I am making plans now and already have my tickets (I got 4 of them).

So if you want to do dinner/drinks... lets make plans now!! My social calendar will get full quick... Let me go wipe the cobwebs off it now for the rush....

LOL

As I do live like 45 minutes from the 2015 location, I think I am going to get a hotel room anyway. That way I do not have to worry about drinking / eating / and driving. LOL

Sorry.. I saw this bu never answered it. Thanks for the bump Henry.

It is a 180 Marineland.

I really like it.. but I think my next one will be a 265 Marineland. The deminsions are perfect for what I have in there and done so far.

I will be adding a 265 to it one day... just not today.

About time you graced the halls of the LRT forum again.

Where you been, holiday?

I have been lurking...

Actually family, vacation, work, sleep, water changes....

Not all in that order. I have been reading quite a bit on threads and all.

Sorry. lol

OK Time to get back in gear.

Almost Christmas time here.

First an equipment update. I got a Neptune DoS today. Just plugged it in a bit ago and will be dosing my alk and calcium.

If you look at my camera http://worm5406.from-md.com:83 you will see it in the sump sitting on its side, for tonight.

A few weeks ago a (ReefCentral) friend came into town and I picked him up and let him see my mess I call a tank room. I will let Leroy chime in and give his 2 cents.

Inhabitants are doing good, but I am fighting a Bubble algae issue. Just got a few crabs to take care of it.

I call it a work in progress as everyone is always doing some sort of update on their system. Other than the small issue you speak of, I was very impressed with your setup. The camera was really cool and your fish were healthy. But your worms, wooooo. They were just making appearances after appearances. Either way it was an honor to see you and hope you enjoyed your special day.

Yeah... you only turn 44 once... and that was now a few weeks ago. I am over that now.. HAHAHA

I got a new doser. The Neptune one. I am setting it up as we speak, the programming. I will set up the pipes tomorrow.

It is under the 180. I have the camera looking at it right now.

A few pics this fine Christmas Eve.

Thanks.

I had been a little lax lately. As you can probably see.

I have been doing regular water changes over the past few weeks getting things back in line though.

Using some Aptasia-X. Wanted to show a friend, so I thought I would post it here too.

This is the first time I have actually seen one eat, like that. They were always facing the other way before.

Yes that is from my 120 tank. (on the left on the webcam) It was standing up off one of my frag trays. It is about 6 inches long, and still not stretched out all the way. LOL I tried to do a video but it kept focusing on the rock behind it. I took stills and put them together, that is why the background moves slightly but the glass stays still.

Thanks!

Really cool GIF! I spotted two bristle worms in the little tank this morning during feeding... I didn't jump right in to get the moved to the big tank...

Is he trying to eat the flat worms?...lol. Is this in the sump or tank? Cool gif.

That is in my 120. You may remember my 120 was upstairs with lots of ambiant light. I upgraded it to a 180. A year +/- later I put the 120 up. It is located to the left of my 180 and plumbed into the same sump.

That picture is taken on the display side of the 120, the other sides are against walls.

I love to see them move around when I am feeding. They poke out and try to grab stuff that floats to the bottom.

It looks like my 6 line has knocked the population down some in my 180, though.
