Im thinking about Maroon pair thats in the store.
Whats keeping me from it is the fact that i want to be able to work in my tank bare handed..

Maroon's natural host is the bubbletip. You would probably have better luck with ocelaris or percula with the haddoni.

Maroons will bite the crap out of you, just so you know.

Clarkiis are just so ugly...
market is small in my country, its ether Maroon or ocelaris every one has ocelaris.

Oh i know about Maroon being *******

That over there is an 9 feet tank that has Maroon and various BIG insane Damsels, i don't go into that tank with my hands..

Well i went and got two Baby Amphiprion polymnus and its love @ first sight with my carpet.
Not the best looking clown but they are cheap and beneficial to my Haddoni which is what matters the most to me.

like it is now, i think im finally happy with the tank and its inhabitants so now it just watch it grow i guess.
Every acropora is growing nicely along with my montys and every single lps is growing like mad.i have 5 species of snails in the tank and all of them are reproducing i might even use em for food for the nem..

Spot the clown in the first pic..

That is a clown species I vow never get again. I got a pair that kill two of my healthy Haddoni carpet. They just dive into the mouth of the anemone and rip the inner organs of the anemone. What them carefully. If they start to do this you got to remove them

Minh, now that you mention that, I was at Petco one day looking at the fish and anemones and saw one absolutely shredding the anemone that was in the tank. I passed it off as just an over ambitious clown. But it was a A. Polymnus

The trick might be to add a nasty grouper to the tank - they either think twice before ripping their protection apart, or pay the price for it :blown:

But I agree that polymnus are some especially nasty clowns - I'd rather have maroons or clarkii than those villains. And they can get huge - I've seen a fully grown (6") here at a store and could hardly believe it.

Clarkiis are just so ugly...
...

There are quite some spectacular clarkii variants, you may just not have seen them yet.

Good thread. Cool to seem the community come together helping each other out. Also a nice read for me, I'll take it for what it is. Plan on a gig or haddon going in my 220g system.

Haddon look amazing! their colors will make your corals look pale.

fish are usually smart enough to stay away from the carpet area. they know a certain corner of the tank is a no no.. I've had carpets for a little over a year. I lost probably 2-3 fish and all of them because I spooked them into diving into the carpet. certain sand crawlers are easier caught.. I hear mandarins are easy targets, but mine are doing ok.

Well they seem to host Carpets like Haddonis in the nature so i assumed they would be a good choice?

Ye i observed one of them poking his head into the anemones mouth, it didnt seem to bother the anemone as there was no reaction to it.if they start to misbehave il introduce a lion fish into the tank..no way to catch those little shits :P

Sometimes when the lights are going out she does this couple of times in the night and in the morning during blue LED only..
Than in the day and lights off time she is fully extended.
ive added even more sand but i am able to see the foot in the lr in the back and it looks like its not anchored fully, how long should that take it?

New Haddoni may move around a little. If he is happy he should not move but a few centimeters from where he is at. 10 cm of sand should be deep enough and you should not need to add anymore sand.
Proportion wise, he seem to be just about right for the tank where he is at. Don't feed him too much or he will grow out of the space.
