Thank you for the compliments! Here are a couple pics from feeding time this morning.

What an epic room, thanks for the updates. I'd love to do this one day, keep up the good work.

What site are you using for pictures.

Thanks!! As for the pictures, I'm just adding them to my RC albums. Running out of space I'm sure, so I'll have to look into other options eventually. Any suggestions for a pic hosting site?

Love that you added a pair of porkies!

These guys have always been a favorite of mine, but I've never had the right system to keep them before! I'll have to try to get a video of when I walk near the pool. They both come cruising over to me at the water's surface like 2 little speed boats!

I've never been to stingray bay or greenwoods! Thanks for giving me a heads up, and I'll have to make a trip out there as soon as I get a chance! Locally, I usually go to Fish Doctor's in Canton, or Pet Connections in Livonia. I've been ordering fish from DD and NYaquatic as well, and have taken in several fish from other aquarists when they have outgrown their systems.

Great set up. Spend the time read through the whole thread.

You should invest in one of this so you can take great top down picture (so we can see it too :))

Thank you! This is a really good idea! It's tough for me to take decent pictures when my fish almost always beg at the surface and agitate the water. I have to stand around for a good 20 minutes or so without feeding them before they calm down and resume going about their business!

Wow. Awesome update. You have the basement that dreams are made of haha. Two MORE pools for the sharks, crazy..

I still think that Annularis is amazing. I also agree that a video would be awesome!

I was walking through a plant nursery the other day and they have lots of tiny Koi in big pools. I can only imagine how much more adult saltwater fish would attack the surface when they think it's dinner time! How much of that 50 gallons a week of topoff is from fish splashing everywhere? :lolspin:

I'll have to see what I can do about getting a video up here soon.

It's not so much the splashing, but the squirting... I thought the triggers were bad around feeding time until I added the puffers.

I have a feeling that when these guys get bigger, I'm going to feel like I'm sitting in the front row at Sea World. Might have to install an acrylic panel or two where I feed them to keep the water in the pool!

Wow. Awesome pic timing. Electric blue firewater breathing dragonpup.

Ha! Great pic! At first I thought "why is he feeding him a plastic bag??" :D

......

Also had the idea to do a watercolor painting (fish portrait?) of each of the fish in the pool. I have a lot of empty wall space on the wall opposite the pool, and thought that would be a good way to fill it up.

Wait a minute... you must live extremely close to me. I'm 1.1 mile from Fish Drs Canton!! :0)

Those porcs look so good. Amazing what happens when you give a fish enough space!!

Absolutely love this pond.

I'd have to swim in it if I had one

LOL! It's actually gotten to the point where I won't get into the pool at all anymore without my waders on! The triggers/puffers stay within a foot or two from me. Seems like they are trying to work out whether or not I might be food, and which one is going to be brave enough to try the first bite!

Ha! It really is a deluge! I just stood over the pool for a few seconds hitting the photo button on my phone until I got lucky. Was always to slow to catch them in the act when I tried deliberately to get a pic! They can be pretty accurate, and have given my phone a good soak on a few occasions!
