so i started dosing MB7 again a couple days ago in hopes of riding my dino problem.. Which has been ongoing since my tank crash 5months ago. I have tried everything people suggest besides the high ph which is pretty much impossible for my setup... I'm droping so much effluent from my reactor i'm luck my ph is 8.1-8.35 ( 8.35 end of light cycle ) . Hopefully the bacteria can starve it out ... I'm not even sure where's the source of the problem anymore ... It's not going crazy like it did 5 months ago but it's still there and still growing just much slower. At this point i've pretty much given up on it and just am hoping for it to run it's course and go away.

Anthony, I’ve been enjoying your thread both here and at WWR for awhile. (I think we have some friends in common.) Fantastic selection of fish and corals and the pictures are out of sight. Can you tell me the name of the pieces above. The first one has a pretty unique growth structure and the second one looks like one of those “grafted” pieces.

The purple one was something i picked up wild that i did not have frags for >.< , it was the first piece to go when the tank crashed.It was a wild turaki , grew super slow originally came in ice blue, and every time i tried to frag it. The frag would die next day, and the colony would start to recess .. so i left it alone and now nobody has it $@RIHFN@@!@# was by far my favorite coral.
The second piece is the Green Jacket... it's a graphed divaricata from Garrett's acropolis . I believe this piece is going to be release LE by tyree soon. I orignally asked Garrett for it months a head of time to prepare me a frag which i picked up at RAP.
Yeah we have some mutual friends lol .. small world .. I heard you got an orange tail emp... How's it doing ?

Turaki...really? The growth structure looks different, too bad its gone. I thought that the other piece was the GJ but wasn't sure. I think that it is already an Tyree LE as the first edition was auctioned just before the Reeffarmers old site went down. I know the person that got it for a crazy price (at least for an acro now-a-days). I don't know why Tyree hasn't posted up under the LE category though. The Orange Tail is in my bro's FOWLR and it's doing well, unbelievable colors. I'm not brave enough to put a nipper in my tank (yet).

Yeah , atleast that's what i thought it was , debated with a bunch of people over what it was.. IMO the nicest SPS deep water coral i've seen ...The original coral i thought was more stunning tho, Iceblue lemme see if i can find a picture of it at home tonight ... But i think i was afraid to take pictures of it, in fear it might die lol ... since it was so touchy ( it bleached 1/2 the day i got it )

Very clean and beautiful setup you have! Love the rock structure! How do you like your alpha 250? I am looking at grabbing an external to replace my H&S.
Also I love your adult radiant! Been looking for one for some time now but most come in ~4".

Yeah my Radiant is atleast 6inches ... and it's thick and tall ... Really pretty fish, they grow in aquariums quite well in aquariums.
I liked the alpha quite a bit, i ended up putting the A250 on the frag system ( it's 350G volume or so ) and the BK sm300 on the display. Figured the SM300 would do better than the A250 but i haven't really noticed a difference in output. I guess that A250 really was kicking it ... Here's a shot of it on my frag system, that's about 2 days of skim.

Wow its really sucking the tar out of that frag tank. How many fish are in the frag tank? Amazing performance!

Well it's also got my deepwater system plumbed with it ( which isn't the brightest idea i just didn't want another system to maintain ) which has all LPS + gorgonia's , suncorals + 4 hawainese longfin anthias + 3 aurulentus anthias and 3 purple queens anthias. Which does get fed quite often mostly with prawn eggs/ rotifers /phyto ... Water quality is still 0/0/0( nitrite/phosphate/nitrate) which is amazing . I do 40G water changes once a week. But how frothy the head of foam on that skimmer is , quite amazing considering it's one pump and it's not that big . low watt draw as well.
