240g tank w/fish room build

How do you know if its working then?

I have seen stuff come off frags when just doing a cup of water. So I know the product works. With 12 gallons of water it is a bit harder to see.

Id imagine if you had any bugs they would settle at the bottom of the bucket after they die? Thats the same thing i was wondering as well

The bottom of the bucket was filled with about 2-3 cups of like a sludge like and sand mixture that came off the corals. I was unable to identify anything in the remains. Also I have bought corals and found aefw for example and this product literally disintegrated them after about 10-12 min and my dip was 15 min and was over an hour that is sat before I had time to dump it out and inspect.

Not too much to update. I did the second dip today. I think I will do two more. Over the next two weeks to 20 days. Then I will just leave them there to observe. I have also been scrubbing each Each coral for algae with a toothbrush before Before the dip.

Big thanks to Snake. He came out and added a much needed vent fan in the garage. It doesn't seem to be needed if the Ac was on, but this time of year we don't run the Ac much so added a 150cfm exhaust fan. This unit uses a 6inch vent pipe. I went with a flexible tubing and directed it out the soffit. The electrical is attached to a special due point sensor that is adjustable to the humidity in the room to automaticly turn on the fan when humidity reaches the set amount.

Also picked up a larger generator this week. I had a small one to run the old system if anyone is interested I will be selling that one. The new one I asked snake1 to install it straight into the electrical panel to it can run the entire fish room and a couple things in the house also. This will be a nice addition for sure.

So I just checked the room and the chiller was running since no Ac on all day and room closed up, BUT the room was not over humid like past days it was like that so I think will be good now with the fan. Especially since the chiller puts out a lot of heat when it runs and the exhaust fan was able to remove that too!!!

No pictures but I mounted my auto feeder today. Have it set to feed 2 times a day. Also stopped my LFS FAOIS and added to my clean up crew in the display.

In the multitank system I seem to have a Dino problem;(. Will add filter socks change it everyday. No water changes. I put a larger skimmer on the system. I will manually siphon out as much as I can into the filter sock every day then change the filter sock. I am thinking about setting up a uv sterilizer I have laying around and do a 5 day black out at the same time. Any thoughts on this idea?

Dip number 3 done today. I like the dip method I used this time. Seemed to stress the corals less. I lost a few after the last dip cause it took me to long to get all the corals out of the dip. This time I dumped the coral dip instead of removing each coral by hand. And as the dip was pouring out I was spaying/ringing the corals and cleaning out the dip bucket with fresh salt water. Then I left the coral in the bucket and just refilled the bucket with the fresh salt water. Saved a lot of time for all the corals to get out of the dip.

I am thinking 2 more dips. This is a lot of work to try to dip so many corals at once.

Roger I have same auto feeder. It's great. Just don't know where to place it on my nex tank. I see tang is in display. Keep up the at. In the end it will be worth it.

Yes all the fish are in. I don't have plans for any more fish.

I will keep up with the qt. it won't be bad next rounds. When I purchase corals. Dipping 10 of so corals will be easy but dipping near 300 pieces every week has be a lot of work. The method I used this time was much faster. Saved me about 2 hours. It only took me just over 3 hrs this time. What takes all the time is tooth brushing every single coral for algae, and inspecting every single one looking for anything.
