Almost done with this round of qt dips. Just did another one today. Will still have to do interceptor treatment for redbuds before all said and done but that's nothing and can count to just monitoring time.
The frag tank is doing great. Corals have about 70% of there color back now and getting great growth

So I sold the 4 x80w Ati fixture today. My new 6x80w Ati will be here Friday. I wasn't happy with the spread on the back wall. The extra 4 inches and 2 bulbs will hopefully make me happy with the light spread.

Awesome. Why not 8 bulbs? More bulbs equals more better!!! LOL. Have you decided on what bulb combination to go with?

The 8 bulb won't fit if I want to use the 2 reef right 72inch 50/50 strips I have also. So the lighting will look like this..
4 kessile 360we in the front mounted pointing toward the middle back of the tank
Then 1 reefbrite 50/50
then the 6 bulb Ati t5
then another reefbrite 50/50 behind the t5
The t5 will be
1 purple plus
1 aqua blue special
4 blue plus

That is going to look great. What is the lighting schedule going to be? And did you order the dimable fixture?

No I don't see the point of dimmable fixtures with t5. Especially since I have a dimmable LEDs over the tank also.
Kessil will run 12 hrs as it does now. Color goes to 50 . whites start at 30 color. intensity also max at 50%.
The 2 bulbs of the t5 will be the blue plus and the purple plus. it will run for 6-8 hours depending on how corals respond. The 4 bulbs of t5 plug will be the aqua blue special (white bulb) and 3 blue plus. T will run for 4 hours. The reef Brie 50/50 will run for 1.5-3 hours.
These my change a bit. Will have to watch the corals.
Currently the lighting schedule is shorter then that with the t5 and reef brites

Thx. I don't think the new light will change much of the over all look. the back wall of the display was not getting enough light so I'm hoping the larger fixture will give more spread. Don't really need more intensity.

Frag tank got a little love today. Took everything out scrubbed it clean. Added another set of frag racks today and re organized the corals.

Got the new 6x80w Ati fixture in yesterday and mounted over the 240g today. Looks about the same but more light to the back wall of the tank. So the goal was achieved. Now I can use the back wall for acro corals as planned.
