And a pair of a.percula on the way to join them in qt. Just did tank upgrade thats why my first pair are in qt.They will all be put in dt at same time. Also 2 lta's are in dt

Put in 2 dividers and you'd have no problems!

I've got a 120 with a perc pair. I've flirted with how I could pull off 2 pair - hard to see how I could do it. 3 pair would be another level of difficult. You might be able to keep them alive, but healthy wouldn't be a word I'd use.

Just my .02

To add to the above, you are likely setting yourself up for failure. Why do you want to stuff three pairs into a 120? I know you are likely attached to your fish, but for the health and safety of your livestock it would be a much better husbandry and responsible decision to pick the one pair you like the best and keep that one. No need to unnecessarily subject the fish to fighting.

Just a note here, when someone posts comments like this, they already know it's probably not a good idea, but are looking for that one or two that will tell him that it's ok.

And let's play nice now....;)

IF all clowns were added simultaneously (like if you rescaped and intorduced them all at the same time to the new 'scape) wouldn't you just have one fish emerge as the dominant female and the rest settle in as subbordinate males?

Everyones used to tell me there was no way I could keep 4 royal grammas in a 95, but guess what, going on 2 years now and all 3 of my females build nests and lay eggs on the regular as the huge male attends them all 1 at a time...

Makes for an awesome display...

I say go for it and chronicle your experience to share with everyone out here, good or bad.

You are assuming that there is only one female out of the six clowns -- if there are two, the odds are very good that they will end up killing each other.

Ive not had any Grammas so i cant speak on that, but I have many different clown pairs. I have had more than one pair at a time. The most successful were percs and skunks. The skunks temperaments just worked best. I have tried percs, and Ocellaris, and it wasn't pretty.

My pink skunk pair were pretty mellow at first...but, once they started spawning they because just as aggressive as any other clown I have had.

Ok , all new clowns are smaller then the male in my first pair.they will all be added to the dt simultaneously. I have other tanks to put them in if it doesnt work out. THANKS
