47G SPS...Revamp

Wonderful pics and good advice regarding phosphates, you know my stance on the subject.

Starting to see some good vibrancy and saturation now to colour.

Once I've settled the wrasses I'll bring feeding back to normal and practise taking pictures

Aside from the lovely Biggles your tank is one of my favourites Sahin :) You have some of the best colours and photo's around ;) Luurrrvvveee those macro shots though!! Simply stunning!

Wow, look at that color! Great photos.

I just tested phosphates a second time using my hanna ULR and I've gone from .01 to .08 over 5 days. I may have to start replacing rock. :(

Great colors sahin! Your corals are really looking good and your photography is awesome

Nice Sahin! That particular SSC is spectacular!

They look AWESOME!

Sahin,
Your corals are looking great. that milli with the deep blue tips is really nice, but that granulosa of yours is awesome. That would look great in my little deepwater tank :-) I gotta get a frag of that, even if it is across an ocean.

Wow! Very nice and healthy corals. Keep up the great work Sahin:) keep the pics coming!

Holy crap, your colors Sahin!
Awesome, fully impressed, keep up the great work :)

Great pictures Sahin, the colors comes across really well. Excellent job, I still struggle to get the white balance correct on my DSLR but am getting better the more I try, Great job.

I have to say your tank is looking great. The care and effort you put into the tank really shows with the color and health of the corals. Spot on that less is more to be successful, too much of anything is never a good thing.

The acros are looking really good! You do an awesome job capturing them on film too. I'm saving your picture tutorial for when I get a real camera. It's super frustrating to see amazing colors or glow in person then lose all that in a bad picture. Keep on with what you're doing and try to resist any major changes!

Stunning shots.. Stunning!!
I remember that granulosa. It was scrumpdidlyumcious! Can wait to see it turn into total acro bush:)
I really love the acro frag in the last photo. Really nice. Can't wait to see that grow out as well.

Great stuff colours are off the charts

Geeeeeeeeeez sahin!! Those colours are just DROOOOOOOL!!
The blue tip milli and red planet are stunning!

Wow just crazy colors!

Colors are just stunning Sahin, great job with the tank.

Great shots sahin!!!

Wow. Thanks for all the posts. :love1: Will continue to the tank going the same way and hopefully some of the SPS will look better with a bit more growth. :)

So are we looking at the results of the Pac Sun or ATI ?

The tank was grown on the ATI; by and large the colours came with the ATI. The PacSun is the same; 8 x T5 tubes with single LED cluster. Not much difference between the two. I did a little review/comparison a few pages back. PAR is more or less the same too.

IMO the water quality/nutrition is FAR more important than which light fixture you have. Remember both the Pac Sun and ATI are hybrids; therefore I'm not surprised the results are the same.

My buddy who has now broken down his tank, had some of the best colours in his SPS; his light was a simple DIY T5/LED hybrid.

Awesome Sahin. Nice to see you back on track! What is your bulb combo and led (% & Photoperiod) at the moment?

Thanks!
Currently running 4 Coral+, 2 Actinic and 2 PacSun CystalBlue. Not sure of the LED settings because I dont have Bluetooth on my laptop; the PacSun was setup on my brothers laptop; you need BT to connect to the fixture. Ordered one cheap BT dongle and it doesnt even work; so have to buy a decent one.

Great pics buddy! Can you recommend any articles or websites for a reef photography primer?

Thanks buddy. I posted some material a few pages back. Its got the basics you need.

These coral frags are amazing.

What is your N/P now? Did you increase PO4 as you mentioned before?

Thank you. :)

PO4 and NO3 still the same. I tried to increase it, but despite the extra feeding neither have increased.

I need more fish. Next month I'll be adding more fish to increase the bioload.

I notice how much easier it is for you to find both your camera and the time to post pics of your tank, now that your corals are looking sweet:) I'm sure it's a coincidence;)

Haha, having ones corals look decent makes it easier to find time. Seriously though, I finish work late these days and am very tired by the time I get home. All I want to do is look at the tank while I eat etc and relax.

One of the reasons why I bought the Eheim everyday feeder is not having to worry about having fed the fish at least a few times.

I certainly understand not wanting to do anything but relax when you get home, and I appreciate you taking the pics because I am a visual person and like to see something to reinforce whatever you post. Nothing bugs me more than people who drop wild claims all over the boards and have never posted a picture of one thing in their tank to back it up.

Your pictures are showing a reef that is recovering from a pretty traumatic event in grand style. Very very nice:)

Yup, I am the same. I dont care if its someone who has been on the forum for 1 year or 10 years. Photos showing colourful SPS backs up their method etc.

This is what my tank used to look like before the restart:

I just hope that this time round, I can pull off a successful tank and keep it going for at least a couple of years more. I'd be very happy with that and call it a success.

I can only hope my reef will be worthy one day to post pics. until then ill keep following you sps guys...all the while getting my own experience...

I have no doubt you will achieve success with this tank. Everything is already looking amazing. BTW, I bought that flipper thing and boy it's awesome! Best purchase I've made in a while.

I see that granulosa!! Awesome.
Your tank is just around the corner from being better than it was.
I notice in the reflection that you were running at least one pink bulb.
Are you still- sorry don't recall.
I added one to my mix for a bit but I didn't like how it made the tank look ever so slightly mauve in general cast.
Do you find the pink bulb really has an appreciable benefit to the corals?
I know some reefers swear by them..
