Hi Sahin,
I have been following your reef tanks in the last years and it can be my mistake or you prefer a bunch of light over your tank.
I´m saying this because when you go to 100% LEDS you will notice a much lesser extent of light and it gives you the idea from your eyes that you have low PAR since the LEDs are directional unlike MH and T5 wich spreading enough light giving us the idea that fills our tank entirely.
Another point is what the markalot said,
"When viewing from the front the colors will fade, from the top colors can look quite nice."
This indeed happens and however much you try to put more open lens etc, you will never get it because the LED does not allow you to spread the light to cover everything.
In my experience with LEDS, I used the 3 lumia multichip 5.1 and when i started the DIY project I really thought I would only use LEDs in the new tank , well after a few months, and despite having sufficient PAR, the shadows that LEDS generated over the tank not seduced me at all, I even took the lenses away and yet the result was not what i liked best. ... when I turned on four T5 tubes over my tank to complement the LEDS, it looks like i had opened the day inside the aquarium !!! The difference was huge.
With this, I´m not saying that the LEDs do not work, quite the contrary, but seeing your old aquariums seems to me that 100% LEDS will not going to convince you and when you put T5 to complement your LED unit you will see what I told you!!
Hey!! don't get me wrong...this is just my 2 cents
I hope that the change goes well, I'm curious to see the differences and your feedback
