a simple sps tank

Mike that scape came out sweet!! Too work my friend
Thanks buddy,glad you like it:beer:

Mike, the scape is awesome. I love it. Things are looking good!
Thank failshed:beer:
Now it needs time,so corals will grow and make something nice.

I'm way back in changing my t5 bulbs(almost 20 months) and this week i'll buy the new ones.Thinking to try a different combo with a more blue look.

Yup the thing this 'hobby' requires most is time:(.

Wow mike you have been slacking:lol:. If you're not sure what to go with I'm sure Scotty would be glad to help:). One thing I would recommend doing from what I've been told and read. Is either replace four bulbs a week max (that's what Scott said) so you don't nuke everything or put them all in and raise the lights up and slowly drop them down again. I'd do Scotts way(a lot less messing around). Have a look at the KZ new gen bulbs I've got one and really like it as its a bit bluer than the Aquablue specials and if the supplier had another one I would be running two. If you want i can post a pic of what it looks like.

Thanks for the help and tips fishy buddy:beer:
Well i changed all 8 bulbs at once and just lifted the fixture a few cm's.
Went with 5 blue plus,2 coral plus and 1 purple.
I like how it looks but i'm itching to change one coral plus for on more blue:bum:

So i did some more of my favorite "branching":o and changed place for the hystrix and also added sand.Tank was BB for at least 4 years so it's kind of wierd to watch it:smokin:

And one picture that shows a bit how the right island looks like it's in the air.
Can't wait for the corals to grow:hmm5:

So there was a spot that was perfect for a coral with plate growth pattern so i bought a solitaryensis:)
Under t5

And under some natural light

Well i'm sure i can make this look brown too!lol

I see the ways of the sneaky reefers have infected you as well. :celeb1:

Awesome update. That Soli looks yummy! :inlove: Nice branching rock idea. I especially like the right island...I think different heights add to the perspective in the aquascape. Well done my friend.

Looking awesome Mike and I love that right hand side island!! :inlove:
Also really like how you placed the Hystrix out on the branching piece of rock!! It looks very cool

Told you buddy,it became a wave...a movement,lol
I tried my best to resist but i'm only human, lol

Yeah, that soli is really nice but i'm pretty sure i will soon manage to make it brown:)
Hope it will at least continue its plate growth pattern:o
Really glad you like it sahin,it means a lot:beer:

Thank you very much my dear friend:love1:
I can't wait for the corals to grow and fill it!
Thanks again scott, partly it's your fault since your photo and vid updates give me so much inspiration buddy!
Love this new scape!
Can't wait for it to grow out..
What are the dimensions again?
Tank looks huge now!!
Can't wait too matt
Some guys say, less is more and they are right. That minimal scape and especially the right island really made it look bigger.Glad you think it too, because i thought i was a bit crazy:wildone:
The dimensions are 1,20x88x60

Your simple tank is looking simply awesome with the new coral condominium:thumbsup
Your kind words put a nice smile on my face reeflover buddy:beer:
Thank you so much for that!...condominium,haha!
I hope your awesome "ring/circle" of amazing sps is doing great as always!

Thanks again buddies!

On the other hand, achilles started showing some aggression towards the other fish(especially the chromis) plus some of the anthias refuse to eat flakes and also have stringy poop. They eat frozen food like there is no tomorrow but couldn't care less for flakes.I don't want to feed every day three cubes of frozen food:(
I think i'll remove them and leave him again alone with quasimodo.

Great tank. I was about to tell you, your tank will have no growth unless you put sand. :clown:
Also, I LOVE the name of your wrasse! Best fitting name I've heard hands down.

Definitely going to do some homework on that probidio stuff. I've been seeing it everywhere. I run a sps only and only dose my little 2 part.

Looking awesome Mike, that rock scape and your acro placements are going to look crazy cool and wild as things grow in  I've never seen a solitaryensis let alone had a chance to ever purchase one so i'm going to watch yours grow mate. I have a nice pink seri but i had to move it to the very back out of sight after the guys slagged me for having one
Get rid of the anthias, i hate two of my three and only like the little stunted runt one that looks like a cross between a fish and a rat - i have named him ratboy so he's staying now he has a name. The other two need an icepick in the head for bashing my flame angel Barry up. :angryfire:

Hey Mike didn't you have Barebottom it looks like you added some sand...tank looks great bud now lets see some more pics
