a simple sps tank

Mike the pic and the tank is amazing, good job:thumbsup:
Thanks fishy,glad you like it:)
Looking good Mike
Thank you my good friend:beer:
Looking sweet Mike :) love that scape buddy
So happy you like it scott buddy:love1::p
FTS is looking really nice! The layout is perfect
Thank you cFloor,really appreciate it:beer:
It still has a long way though:(
I'm waiting for the corals to grow and most of all,to color them up more.
Ah......i hate patience:p

Looking good Mike , loving the swimming space

The clam looks like a Maxima/Crocea? Was talking to a buddy yesterday, and he was telling me that since Maxima/Crocea's are burrowing clams, they're best placed onto rock (for good health)....dunno how far that is true though :p...I'm not really clam crazy ... Maybe it's time to get one :reading:

Thank you bello buddy, really glad you like it my good friend:beer:
All this swimming space is for BB to swim:D
Tank volume isn't enough for him so i try to give him as more space as possible.

Yeah clam is a crocea.
I must take one top down pic of it.It's really nice.
Having said that i'm not a big fan of clams either:)
Some have amazing colors but i've never been able to maintain them, so i spend my money in acros(which,to be honest,i can't maintain either, lol):p
I placed it from day one on the sand.It did have some problems attaching itself but now it reached the glass and it's not going anywhere:p

You friend isn't wrong,i've seen a lot of my friends do that(place them in small crevices). Some bolder even placed them on montis:uhoh2: and they seemed ok.
I'm not a clam guy either so can't say much:hammer:

What i absolutely hate is to buy a coral and after a few months discover that i already had it:mad2:
A friend of mine gave me a brown one that i patiently waited to see what it is,for the last 4 months. Now that it started coloring up i found out that all this patience, food,ca and other things were in vain since i already had it:mad2:
So i took it out and did some coral relocating to fill the gap.
I also cleaned all the powerheads...my god how reduced flow was.I dialed down almost every single one of them because it made it look like a laundry in there:)

Hey Mike,

Can´t believe I missed this thread!

The tank is coming along very nice. Love the clean look you are achieving.

I would love to see some coral pics as well. It seems you have some great gems in there.

The achilles looks fat and happy. Well done! Are you planning on getting more fish?

Keep up the good work my friend.

Hey sweet tank! missed this thread and jumped to last page, gonna read through it now :)

Hi andre,no worries my good friend,i'm really happy to have you on board now:)

Thank you for your kind words buddy,i really appreciate it and it means a lot.
After all your tank has been a great inspiration!

I do have some gems in there but until now i haven't been able to get satisfying colors:(
They grow at a very good paste but color wise,i'm not happy.
I want to try prodibio's dose and drop with the pro ampoules so i can dose daily instead of weekly,i do now. We'll see how it goes.
I'll try top get some pics of the corals though in the next WC

Glad you like achilles,i have unending love for these guys:)
Sometimes i think of adding a moorish or a regal(scotty's "spud" put some thoughts in my head :) ) but he has become a bit aggressive towards the anthias and chromis so i'm not sure if adding some more, would go smooth.

Thank you one more time for your kind words my good friend:beer:

Hey G! Just stooping through to say hello. Things seem to be going well!
So so so happy to see you failshed buddy!
Really glad you stopped by and thank you very much for the support all this time and your kind words:)

Thank you very much adddo, glad you like it:beer:
Hope it won't bore you buddy!

Awesome looking tank!! Wow
So happy you like it jasonandsarah:)
It really means a lot to me and thank you for your nice words

Yesterday i add one more of the "extensions" i use to create places for some corals or intervene to the aquascape. This thing has become an addiction:beachbum:
I'll get some pics later!

Again... a thousand thank you for your kind words guys!

Here is one pic from the "extensions i was taliking about:)
I don't really like wet glue(prefer epoxy) but in this case,it works like a charm.
Took two pieces of dead corals glued them together and that piece on the rock,so the corals,as they grow, will look as more as possible in the air.

looks great, how small is that clam? looks tiny
Thank you so much ryan, glad you like it:beer:
It's really small.A bit bigger from a matchbox.I've had it for amost ten months and i almost can swear, that it has grown only 1 cm:hmm5:

Very nice corals. Good job!!
Thank you very much MBMAX,much appreciated:beer:

Tank is looking spectacular! Great job!!!
Thank you buddy for your kind words all this time:wave:

How do you keep your floor so clean? Got a pump facing bottom?
In the back yes.I've a pump facing the bottom of the tank and keeps it crazy clean.
On the front where i have a small amount of sand the flow from the return pump and three more pumps keep it clean too,but without steering it.
Generally there's a lot of flow in the tank.

I managed to take that photo.
That porites(i think) is getting some good colors especially on the tips where its purple.I didn't manage to get that in the photo but here is a try:hmm5:

Also i'm trying really hard not to change the hole right island:smokin:
Nick's(stonecold) pics with these amazing branches, made me sit on hot coals and want to try something similar:(
I really like the left one and i can almost swear i won't ever change it but with the right one i was never 100% happy:o and nick made sure i have more doubts:p

Well...every effort i made, not to change the right island was in vain:)
I bought some branches and started "playing".

What i never had thought before,is that cyanoacrylic glue could do a good job with the aquascape.
I tried it out of curiosity and i ended using it in the hole rockwork.

Where the rock was like puzzle i add it and with a spray, threw water to the spots. Something that spread the glue evenly, way better than what i could do with my hands:)
When it was dry i added some epxy on top just for safety.
On some other rocks which were more dificult to connect i used epoxy first to create the base where the rock would go and then glue to attach it.
It's amazing how strong it can become.Did some "crash tests" and it held really nice:)
Some pics

After the addition of glue and water

The hole rock from top down,is like that

and from the front

In the last pic you can see in the middle where i firstly use the epoxy and then the glue.

Probably during the weekend i'll do the change:)

Cool idea - recycling - what a concept!
