a simple sps tank

Hey dom,it's going ok.
I changed the two islands position again:hmm4:
Can't keep my hands out of the tank.I think it looks better now that the corals are a bit bigger.Plus the bigger island covers the overflow pipe.
I'll take some pics so i can show the changes.
Thanks for the interest guys:beer:
Glad to hear that mate :)
I'd definitely be keen on seeing some pics once you get a chance to take them, I always love that crazy island scape that you have, it looks so awesome! Nothing wrong with a bit of tinkering here and there, as long as everything is happy and healthy. What's the point if you can't have a little fun! :crazy1:

Thanks bud, really happy you like it:beer:
Tinkering here and there isn't wrong....but in my case where i'm tinkering everywhere and all the time,is baaaaad:p:p

Just got my camera but before i clicked the pics i wanted, batteries died:(
That happens when you haven't updated your thread for so long:p

I managed to get some fts but now i'm recharging the batteries to get some close ups too.
Don't expect something cool though guys:(

Those look great Mike! Your picture taking skills are improving as your tank fills in. Are there blue bulbs you could turn off for the pictures? Turning off as many blue bulbs as possible helps the pictures look less blue.

Those pictures look great! I like the green hand coral. :D

Thank you so much buddy,so happy you like it:beer:
The funny thing is that because i didn't have much battery i made no adjustments to the cam:hmm4:
Only dialed down the iso....i think so,it might have been the brightness :hmm3:
I have only two blue plus and two actinic.E coral and one ABS and it gets that blue.
The thing is that in the close ups i clicked, some are whiter....go figure!
I'll upload them too in a few minutes.

looking good mike!

pictures are getting better also :)
Thank you so much my friend:beer:
Much appreciated!
Eventually all i needed to get some descent pics was to be out of batteries, lol

Those pictures look great! I like the green hand coral. :D

Thank you mark buddy,much appreciated:beer:
You think they are hungry? What makes me not increase feedings is that they are not pale and have a more brown look.
On the other hand you might be right because my NO3 and PO4 levels are both 0.
I'll try for sure, feeding more.Guess sahin was thinking the same thing when he asked me about the feeding schedule.

Thanks man!

Nice, enough of those photos are good enough to get a good idea how the tank is doing. :)
Thanks mark my friend,if all the pics where good then something would be very wrong in our universe bud:p....Armageddon would be close etc,lol

Tank still needs time to get there though!

Looking good Mike looks like you're good my friend
Thank you so much my dear friend, glad you like it.
It means a lot:beer:

I guess what you see as brown, I see as pale and lacking colour intensity.. You should try feeding more for a month and see if you see any change in the corals.. Just as an experiment.. I could be wrong.. I'm only looking at photos.. Real life would be more revealing.
Can't hurt.. Besides creating a bit more algae....

MIke your scape is so awesome!! It just looks really reall cool and would allow you to get some seriously awesome flow blasting around! :) The acro's are looking healthy with some strong polyp extension going on :) Love the "shark" photo of the acro just hitting the surface too!

I have to say, I would agree with Matt, have a go at a little more feeding over the next month and see what happens :) Have you ever tried any aminos or foods like that in the tank?
