a simple sps tank

hey guys, starting monday i'll probably join the AF group:)
One more thing to test if it works,at least for my tank:p
I see it works for many tanks now!

So what i'll be getting is
-Np pro
-Probio S
-Build
-Vitality
-Energy
-Micro E

I'll use the salt too.

I was thinking not to buy the components.Would that be critical?
Am i missing anything important with them and should i add anything else in my list?

I did swap eventually place between the stag and the branch so tha tank looks like this now
When i'll start the AF products i'll get some coral pics too so there will be a comparison.

"The dude" is getting bigger every day and his bars are developing fast:)

Mike,
Sounds good to me, and looking forward to seeing your results :) Do you run siporax? Just curious, also, do you plan on using Zeomix? I have been using FishV daily now for a few weeks, and I am seeing impressive results in my fish :) Well, I will be on the lookout for updates! Cheers buddy, not sure if you use FB but there is a support network of AF users, good crowd ;)

thank you very much perry:beer:
I have about 5 litres of siporax in the sump and i'm not planning on using zeomi.Do you think i should?Thought that using siporax kind of saved me from that trouble.

If you see good results with fishv then i'll get it too:)
You know how sucker i can be for that fish and now the other(the dude),lol
I want to offer them the best things/food/etc possible.
Thanks for suggesting it:thumbsup:

No i don't have FB i'm trying to stay away from that "trap":p
But if it's necessary in any way,i'll make an aquarium related account lol

Thanks again:)

Today i started the AF products too.Tank has only a couple of corals in good shape so it's the best time to start.
I made a big WC of almost 70 gallons and i'll do one more next monday but smaller(30 maybe).
I didn't use the probiotic salt.I want to see first if my tank will need it plus i thought the transition would be smoother since i'll use pro bio s and np pro.
I'll try to kill some people in cod for a few hours and then i'll drop the other stuff i bought.
Perry i did buy fishv. It's too early to tell but it looks good:)

So...the big WC gave me sometime for some top downs and i'll post them just to have a starting point/mark with the AF products.
After all this time i think it's pointless to apologize for my pics quality:p
Will be a lot of pics too

That's the only coral in the tank i'm pleased with. It's almost that thing lives in another person's tank, lol

Thanks for watching guys and sorry for the quantity/quality of the pics:beer:
Can't wait to see how the tank will react!
I'm guessing in a month or so,i'll see the first results.

Oh yeah!! The spooky Greek tank is going AF, love it! :)
Can't wait to see the transformation, Mike.
That was a crazy photobomb.
I honestly think your corals are looking pretty good.

Thanks matt buddy, really glad you like it man:beer:
Yeah i went AF too, really hope i'll see half the results that the other fellas saw:)

Tbh i think only a couple of corals look good and all the others are really far from what they truly are:(
For example this guy
is normally red as hell and now it's green:(
I think it's a clathrata but i may be wrong.
That's one of the corals i really hope to change for the better:)

Thanks again matt:)

Mike,
Groovy looking colors already, you have done great work my friend :) I too am looking forward to seeing the transition. The tank is looking awesome!
Cheers :)

Awesome photo dump, those corals all look terrific. Hopefully the AF potions work out well for you. :-)
Thanks mark buddy,so happy you like it:beer:
I hope so too that the AF products, will make the other corals color up too!

Cracking along Mike! :-) Can't wait to see what you get from AF too
You and me both dom:-)
It's too early to say anything.
The only thing i can say that corals liked the salt.Amazing PE compared to the day before the WC but they might just liked the big WC.

Mike,

Cheers :-)
Thanks perry my friend:beer:
I'm sure some of them can do much better,f.e the clathrata which is normally red and now is green:-(
I did check AF's facebook,through a friend of mine's account and i found some good info:thumbsup:
Saw your pic too there, cute couple buddy:beer:

Since my aefw sad experience years ago i became very cautious...scared is the right word but i'm too grown up(old tbh) to admit it:p
So buying a new coral is always a challenge...mentally and practically.
The other day though i found a piece i couldn't resist, which i'm sure i'll make brown or something but it doesn't matter...i'll always know what it can look like, lol
so here it is

A piece well worth the fear! lol That's gorgeous :) I'm glad to hear the acro's enjoyed the AF water change too!

lol,i literally saw a nightmare yesterday dom:p

I'm sure i'll make it brown in no time.
That's why i posted the pic....to remember what this coral was like and what colors it truly has:p
So whenever i'll think to throw it away because it'll look like a turd, that pic will hold me back:)

As for AF i'm seeing good things regarding PE but it's too soon i'm sure, for color and growth improvement.
Doesn't matter though,patience....key to our hobby....wish i had it,lol

I don't think you have a brown coral in there. I like the new one, it's nice!
Mike, what's your dosing regimen for all the products?
I see you are using micro E and Energy.. In case you weren't aware, they both contain copper..

Brown only a couple(maybe more) matt buddy but most of them are not what they can be:(
I want them to be more vivid and have their original colors.
Really hope i'll get there!

Yeah the new one is nice.I'll always have that photo to remember how it can look like lol

So regarding the AF
-water changes around 30 gallons every two weeks.Reef salt, not the probiotic
-Pro Bio S every day 4 drops
-Np Pro every day 4 drops
-Build 4 drops every day
-Micro E it's supposed to be every day but because of the copper in energy too,i use it every other day and only 2 drops.Besides copper,it contains other stuff too which i cannot test for and i want to be on a relative safe side.
-Amino 4 drops every other day
-Energy 4 drops every other day
-Build 4 drops every other day
For the fish
-Fish V every second day

Thank you very very very much for your concern and alert about the copper buddy, much appreciate your intensions:beer:

I was wondering how important would it be if i used carbon. If that would played any major or minor role with my success(if ever) with AF.
And if i should add something more from the products i'm not using.

I always thought using Carbon while dosing a carbon source was a good idea..
Perry or Matt are your guys to answer questions about dosing

Mike, I am using the combined zeolites, carbon, and Phosphate minus method in one reactor, it is working well for me and it's easy- just change the whole thing every two weeks. The rest of your dosing looks good, since you are doing regular water changes the MicroE isn't as necessary. If you wanted to use it at full dose, I wouldn't be too concerned about it. The mix of elements in it are very good for color.
