Really? I guess since I see it everyday I don't see it. I don't see much change yet except maybe the clearer water.

The sand is nothing special, something like tideline or tidepool. Its a larger grain aragonite

I removed my fine sand from my tank since I want to get serious with some sps so I put some araganoite. I just wanted to get something a little bigger to put on top. That looks like it will do the trick. I need to see where I can get some from FL. Got your thread again. Thanks.

Nope no zeo, just vodka and a large skimmer. (I was using an ATB 840 but switched to WM AS200). I feed my fish very heavily so no coral foods are necessary. But I also dose lugols once a week. The tank now 13 months old and everything started out as small frags. Im using a Geo 618 + Kalkwasser also.
Ill try and get a fts soon

Thanks for that. Those colours are AMAZING! Do you have a build thread? You dosing MB7 and AA or just the vodka.

Yeah I dose MB7 along with the Vodka. But I haven't dosed the MB7 for a month since I ran out and haven't had a chance to get another bottle. I haven't seen any noticeable difference from not dosing it. But of course I do plan on ordering another bottle of it. I do not dose any AA. Sorry no build thread at the moment.

Thank you! Im running 400w 20k Radiums in a lumenarc large w/Galaxy ballast along with 2 36" T5 Ati Actinics. I agree with you, nothing beats 400w halides! No refugium for me, not necessary since I dose Vodka. The vodka keeps my tank very clean and allows me to feed my fish a lot and keep both fish and sps happy.
My sump is very simple. I run carbon in a mesh bag inbetween the baffles. I run my Geo ca-rx outside of the sump. Here it is when I first set it up:
