Question about your sand, Are you removing it to go BB or has it just gathered in certain areas because of the flow?

I am in the process of removing it, I just haven't decided if I want to put new sand back in.

I was leaning that way but not sure about my leopards. I got the tricolor from Tim, blue and green w/yellow.

That's what I did. In a peninsula tank the remaining sand is not as noticeable in the back.

I like how the rock work looks like a wedge in the phone pic. Do you have more rock in the sump?

I did that on purpose to maximize viewing from the front. I have one more larger rock that is going behind the front section and then it will be done.

No rocks in sump, just a large Skimmer.

In case anyone was wondering what return pump i went with....

Was it the ATB 3200 or the Maxflow 2900? You tell me the difference in the motors.




Flowstar has the blue impeller, and the impeller aslo fits the maxflow. So if anyone needs a replacement impeller they might want the one from laguna and save the money.

I went with the laguna and saved over 400$ now i just need to make a stand for it.

Wow! Good Stuff! Glad you saved a load of cash by getting the Laguna. I'm looking forward to see how you design the stand. I wonder if you can just order the stand alone from ATB and if it will fit?
