The new Reef Crystals buckets. It used to be so satisfying hitting the lid with a hammer. "Yeah...I'll take out the garbage.....YOU TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE!!!!!:furious:"

Now they've got those stupid giant zip-tie thingies that you have to tug on with the pliers. Just adding more frustration instead of releasing it. "Like I got time for this ##$%^#*".

Could just be me. I should have prefaced by saying our baby is teething and I've been up all night.....:hmm3:

My bucket size is inadequte. I only have a 44gal Brute, like "Brute" makes it manlier even though larger/magnum sizes are available, thus leaving me with 10 gal worth of salt in a bag:sad2:

Plus, I can't do a waterchange using a cardboard box. Well, I could, but...you get the picture......:rolleye1:

Mark, I agree completely. Since hitting the lid with the hammer is great therapy, I always dump the new bucket into one of the old "hammer style" buckets that I still have. Plus that helps mix up the salt in the process from any settling. I'm waiting for the day when I try pulling on the "zip-tie thingy" and it rips away before I've made it all the way 'round.

I purchase boxes nowadays so I'm in need of ANY buckets for frag transport.

Some advice about teething:
save the whiskey for self-administration.

I worked in the printing business for many years..I can not count how many times I chewed up my hands on getting open those 5g buckets of ink..Also all the buckets I spilled trying to get those damn things open

I keep my Oceanic salt in my old reef crystals bucket. That way, I can beat my bucket and get my salt at ABC in Fairtport.

No don't think so Gary,the work I did was like 5 colors max and the machines I ran printed corrugated sheets,die cut them and sometimes folded them..

I would have loved to get into silk screen printing and high graphics stuff,but I did the grunt work that paid the companies bills lol
