Anyone tried the Coralvue Reeflux 10k bulbs?

Servo those close shots do look great. Are those 10k or 12k? What ballasts are you using and are there any actinics or other lights?

Update on the 12ks on PFO HQI ballast: After running them for over a week now they are noticeably more white and less blue. I really like the color but they are noticeably not as bright as the 10ks. I think I'll switch back to the Reeflux 10ks with VHO actinic supplementation. This has to be about the best lighting combination I've used to date. If you're not wanting any supplementation and want a more blue lamp (but not as blue as the XM 14k/XM 20k try the Reeflux 12k.

Servo, are the Reeflux lamps you are using 10k or 12k? The full tank shot looks like the 10k but the close-ups look like the 12k.

Its pretty white like the Phoenix 14k, but not so much blue.

Its more white than yellow compare to XM10k.

Its not bad, lights up my whole basement..by itself.

Ok, here are mine. Its a difference but i dont think you can truely see the difference. My camera makes it much more pink that it is. Its a white/blue color. I like it. Oh and its 12,ooo k 250w reeflux.

I am running them on the sunlight supply Sun System Blue Wave II Remote Assembled Dual Magnetic Ballast with pulse start and integrated timers. THe bulbs are 400 Watt. I'll post more pictures in about a month!

Believe it or not, the pictures do not do the naked eye justice!!

Who's running these in a 250W DE "reeflux" variety?

Premium Aquatics has the CoralVue "reeflux" listed, but only in a SE bulb. The DE'rs all just say CoralVue.....no Reeflux!

There is a difference right?

I just switched from 14K's 250's and 20K's 400's to 3 250 10K's few months ago and it was the best thing In lighting I have done. You will like them alot. You still get the 450nm spike like a 14 or 20K but it is a bright white/blue light. Not dim at all.

I read the product info a while back and had a hard time believing that they would perform as promised. I have to order them from Germany and they're not exactly cheap, so without references...you know.
BTW: Anyone tried them on Giesemann electronic ballasts?

Are you supplementing with VHO are just running these? I am considering dumping my Phoenix 14k and going with these but am concerned on the look without supplemental lighting. Also I would be running the DE version off SLS mag ballasts so I am not sure if there will be a difference in color.

Servo, those shots look incredible. I was planning on ordering 3 250 xm 10ks soon. Now Im considering the cv reeflux 10ks now
Bet you don't miss the ohio weather theses days, man its been cold and snowly the last couple weeks
