Sorry man i was asking gotfish8... The clear ones are the newer ones and are more blueish... The white ends are more pinker and old versions..

Mwood- your are pink? What ballast are you running?

I never heard of the Clear ends on the inner bulb running pink..

I just fired my new Reeflux 10ks for the first time. They are certainly not pink, nor would i say they have any blue at all. They are running a very yellow/white. I will wait until they have about 80 hours on them to make my final judgement. If they don't get a little more blue after burn in you will see these bulbs for sell in the selling forum.

They actually take about a couple of weeks to break in, mine took a month. I forgot what page in this forum, you will see the different color shifts. These bulbs give good growth, and make your blues and purples stand out like crazy!!

mwood- i see they are the clear ones... that is crazy... From your pics it doesn't look pink but inperson things look different..

Here is a accurate color of the new 10k 400w Reeflux on Coralvue electronic ballasts + 2 VHO actinics. Actinics are 2 years old though so they don't make much of a difference :D

That looks good Richard. I like the way you mounted those frags to the overflow. Is that a green montipora nodosa in the center? I am debating if I want to go with 10k reeflux 250s on a M58 ballast or 10k Blueline superwhites firing off the same ballast, anyone have any experience with both bulbs or recomendations?

That pic has evc14k blended in. The back of my tank shows the color. Used to be yellow with xm10k's. Pink is much prefered to yellow.

used to run 10k reeflux in my DE pendants, but didnt like the pinkish hue. they did make the blue on all of my corals get very intense while turning most other colors brownish or faded out. i switched to 12k reeflux and i like the look much better.

back when i ran 10k reeflux

If you have room, mix'em.....i run 4 250w De on my 6ft tank, even ran 4 on my 4ft tank...anyhow...i run 2 10k Reeflux and 2 Phoenix 14k....and the coral colors look very natural.

Has anyone looked at the coralvue 20k in the 400w range. The spectrum is almost the same as a Helios and EVC 20k. And the par is very high.

I've looked at cv20k's, evc14k's and halios20k for a while for 400w. The top par is dependant on which ballast you choose. I landed on evc14k's due to the spikes at 450nm and 410nm and I get a lot of par from my 10k bulbs. Helios are also tempting due to par and the 410nm spike. That spike is significant to me as I don't run actinics.
