Anyone tried the Coralvue Reeflux 10k bulbs?

funny, i'm in the same boat. about to order the xm10k's and then saw this thread.

anyone seen par/ppfd data on the reeflux 250w de's? i've seen the se data already.

Who's running these in a 250W DE "reeflux" variety?

Premium Aquatics has the CoralVue "reeflux" listed, but only in a SE bulb. The DE'rs all just say CoralVue.....no Reeflux!

There is a difference right?

those are my questions as well.

Are the 'Reeflux' bulbs even available as a DE, or is that SE only?

Are poeple liking the DEs as much as the new 'Reeflux' SE versions?

What is the most preferred ballast for this bulb? I really like what I am reading so far but get mixed ideas when it comes to type of ballast for SE version. So what is the best ballast? M59, HQI, or electronic. Thanx for some replies, O ya 400 watt of course.

I have a few different kinds of ballasts and the Reeflux 10k look more "blue" on my Coralvue electronic ballasts and a bit brighter and less "blue" on my PFO HQI ballasts.

Alright, I ordered a pair of these 10k reeflux bulbs. My question is that I've got two different types of ballast, one IC and one EVC. When I did the spectral plot on Sanjay's site, the 10k on IC gave me a CCT of 15953 and the 10k on EVC gave me a CCT of 10118.

Is this going to look really weird, since one side will look like a 10k bulb and the other more like a 16k bulb?

Chrisrush, all bulbs are going to look different when burned on different ballasts types. By "type" I mean electronic/M59/M80 etc. If both ballsts are the same type but different brand there shouldn't be much difference.

Both are electronic ballasts right? If so you probably won't notice a whole lot of difference.

My bulb used to be crisp white, but now its kinda yellow.

Im running a se 400 watt 10k on a hqi ballast and it is bight white no hint of yellow but it does have a hint of pink makes my blue tort look super blue.

I just installed 2x250 SE Reeflux 10ks. I will be posting pictures after they burn in.

I will also do side by sides with XM10ks.
