anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

Both are improper. If you want to control this pump the correct way, you need to send a 'dimming' signal the same way the stock controller does.

If my second pump would ever show up I can get it hooked up to a scope to see what's really being sent from the controller.

This pump had already been on a scope over a week ago. Check out reefangel as there is a thread that discusses the scope findings.

There are also already a handful running controlled pumps. I'm running vortechs reef crest mode on mine at 80%

Lpf and you are good to go from the 0-10v va pwm
wire.

circuitry in the pump itself is the only possible way...

and pwm to a filter for analog is not the only way... If you know voltage and current you can also alter the voltage with resistance (which is how I control my tunze) on the tunze the va line has like 6v potential to ground, and at 6v it's full speed, at 0v (grounded) it's off. It's most likely held up inside by like a 100k pullup resistor

received my second pump today. Box was crushed and the "ball" part was smashed just enough to clip the impeller when i turn it on. I e-mailed fish street a picture and they said

"HI Dan I have got for your photo, the box is not damage, and it is not damage on the item, no need to worry on it."

MY reply to that was -are you kidding me? The box is smashed. Do you not see the right side of it crushed?

"Hi Dan I only can see the box is OK, did not damage on the box, it will not affection on your usage".

I think someone tried, or said it wouldn't work, for a reason I can't remember. It's in this thread somewhere.

I've read the entire thread and don't remember seeing that.On page 78, nunodinis told me it would work.

It does work. Its as simple as that mine worked with a 24v power suply and a 3v battery in the va line. It is in fact that simple.

I think two to three weeks ago it was established, even by fishstreet themselves that the light sensors did not work properly.

When I spoke with Fishstreet, they admitted that to me, and said that to essentially "make up for it" they were going to add two sensors going forward.
Additionally, the sensors are not under warranty.

I believe that is on their site or I read it somewhere a few weeks ago.

I was unaware. I need to check out the RA threads.

IDK....I can't remember everything in this thread either. I said I thought someone said it wouldn't work...if I was wrong, sorry...

That is what I was getting at, I don't know what is on the inside. I'm just trying to ask pertinent questions that might get some thoughts going to ensure we make this pump last as long as possible. Which line are you altering with resistance, VA?

I received 2 WP40s and neither came with a sensor

again I'm worthless because I don't own one of these lol...

if I remember correctly though, of the 3 wires I had on my tunze, one was a ground, and i had (2) 6 or 7 volt wires... one of them was capable of 450ma or so, and the other was only capable of like 30ma... I believe their controllers actually got power from the adapters of the pump and not their own power supply which is why they did it like this

degibson-
Yea, I'm not saying that they are actually following through on it, just that they said it.

I mean, going into this, I did not have the expectation that customer service was going to be great, and that I was having high hopes for something that was waaaaay under market price.

i just want it to work as it should - be better than having 4-5 MJ1200/Koralia 4s in my tank and at the price it's selling for, be able to have to cycle through less than 1 per year.

I bought one already and it should be coming...soon.
It's been in Cali since the 27th according to USPS.

And I'm hoping to get back ups in addition.

Either way, the main one and the backups will all cost less than an mp10 and get at least 3 years

IF IT WORKS ON ARRIVAL.

Now that more people are buying them, of course now we have more data.
So, it's now that we are hearing about crushed pumps/boxes (though I doubt that's mainly fishstreet/jebao's fault as...2 wks of international shipping can't be fun for any package.

I mean...i get something from a state 5 hrs away and it's some times crushed/ripped up, etc.

Decisions decisions, buy 1 on ebay in state for a little more or wait for awhile for one from china and save a little :(

Some of these shipping horror stories are making me think twice....

Just paid for my second wp40, I can't wait.

Also, and someone may have already said this, you can buy a pack of photocells from places like RadioShack. For those who did not get the sensor. They are very inexpensive.

Look around more. There are other places that sell them for less than Fish-street. I got mine for $70.06 shipped. Please don't flood my inbox with pms, just use Google and search for the pump name.
