anyone tried to using Jebo WP40?

the ones are e bay doesnt that void out any warranties tho cause they are a 3rd party seller ? that would be a question to ask FS ..

Just wanting to give some feedback...i read somewhere in here that someone was skeptical to put this in a 60g cube. here is a video of mine in the 60g cube(sorry for terrible quality)

http://youtu.be/M1bg208p2Gc

Originally as mentioned, the pump was a little too strong for the tank and i had to mount it lower until i got the ac adapter and am now running it at 18.5v. Seems to be doing fine and gives the tank some good flow. Just gotta tweak around with the placement of the pump

I notice pretty much everyone has this on wavemode. How is it working out just as a powerhead? I am thinking about one for my 90g but already have a tunze wavemaker...just need more random flow.

Oh man.... and I place an order for two of these pumps for my 60 cube....:hmm3: LOL.. probably save it for future upgrade tank........

I have mine on the "ELSE" mode similiar to a vortech reefcrest mode. I feel it would go great with a tunze wavebox. You could get two and take the wavebox out and free up some space... And still do a wave or random ...

cool thanks. I am not ready to give up the wavebox yet. I do like it and these pumps haven't been around long enough to prove long lived like the Tunze reputation.

I have not heard anything about CS from anyone except Fish-Street.com.

which is horrible one of my two came crushed and the impeller wont turn and they are refusing to refund or exchange or anything. The tell me that it is OK all of the pumps they got from the manufacture were crushed during shipping to them.

I also use else mode. I feel waves are a bit of a gimmick. It works great in this mode.

Gimmick? Ever been in the ocean, snorkel/dive a real coral reefs? The wave modes give the closest visual to actually looking at a real coral reef. Is it needed? No Does it look more natural? Yes

Where did you get it from.
Fish-Street seems to be pretty good about fixing actual problems.
This seems like something they would cover.

well they arent covering it i had to open a paypal dispute and they declined a refund so now i have to wait on paypal to make a ruling

they are claiming it is fine and over 3000 pumps that they sent out were all like that and i was the first to claim it was broken. in very horrible english they said

"HI Dan

I have got for your photo, the box is not damage, and it is not damage on the item, no need to worry on it.

thanks
Eric"

and in another email after i said he needs to look at the picture again he said

"HI Dan,

I only can see the box is OK, did not damage on the box, it will not affection on your usage~

thanks
Eric"

the next email he sent was

"the packaging is ok, mostly it delivery from factory to us already the same, we have send out over 3000pcs is the same case and same box, it is not damage on the box~"

I'll take better flow over the look of corals waving any day. I had an MP40 before this for a few years and played with wave mode plenty. The corals didn't react any better to the waves than they did reef crest. The noise was however much more annoying. I also don't really care for how fast corals and nems wave with these sorts of pumps on wave mode. It looks too regular and fake to me. I prefer the randomness of ELSE mode blowing the tentacles around randomly.

I am getting PLENTY of flow in wave mode with mone WP-40. More than 2 Korilla 750 and 2 Korilla 1400.

Agree but wave looks more natural

Else mode in my tank makes everything look windswept so there is no way I would run it all the time.

Guess it depends on the tank and aquascaping. I am getting PLENTY of flow and a wave action that looks just like what I see when snorkeling shallow reefs. Once I hook it up to my Reef Angel I will be using random AND wave mode randomly though out the day.
