Yeah they are there now.
I'm sure someone will be able to some sense out of these.

Thanks for busting one open.

This is from the controller correct?
I think plenty of people have opened the controller, but thanks again.

We are all hoping someone will open up the sealed pump (basically making it unusable after that) and they can figure out how the pump is slowed down.
Oh sorry didn't understand but if it's what we have to do to get even further along with the development of this pump I'll donate 5 bucks just tell me how.

I just ordered 2 on a group buy, not sure what I'm going to do with htem yet but couldn't resist the price for a DC controlled pump

I just heard back from Wynstan at Jebao...

Yes , we can sell the WP-25 and WP-40 without controller;
Still need about two weeks for the WP-25,thanks!

Trying to find out how to get the Stand alone pumps, because I don't think Fish-Street sells them stand alone.
Just sent an e-mail off to Fish-Street to see if they can sell it stand alone.

I think that if Jebao produced some all English packaging and made it look a little more proffesionaly packaged which they have been using a cardboard cut out to hold the pump in place in the box lately but if they made it even better looking on the outside and packaged it really well on the inside fish stores around the country would start buying them I don't know about u guys but my Lfs only buys big brand products like Tunze, Ecotech, A.I., and Seachem. I've talked about these pumps with my Lfs and they said if the packaging was more proffesionaly theyd be glad to pick up 40-50 of them.

We've actually got a LFS that bought a big lot of them and will be selling them locally

Yeah, the controller has been opened many times, including by me. That's the easy part, we need to know what's in the pump itself.

I was more or less interested in getting a WP25 to dissect, just because it's cheaper than tearing apart a pump 2x the price.

Sacohen, I'd love to hear what they say about selling just the pump. That would be perfect for me.

I wish my connectors would show up already so I can get these on the RA.

I would too. I just ordered a reef angel with the Jebao cord for my WP40.
I was thinking of getting a WP25 too an putting it on the opposite side of the tank and I'd get another cord for the RA+.

I ordered a handful of the connectors, hoping they fit, or I'll have to make them.

I was recently battling a GHA outbreak and as the stuff started to die off, it started growing cyano or diatoms all over it. I turkey basted all my rocks last night and made a mess in the tank, I cranked up my MP40 and the WP40 into else mode to keep the detritus suspended and man did that stir things up. These things are crazy.

So I just find it interesting that the second pump I bought came through New York instead of San Francisco. It also cleared customs in one day this time

One thing I found interesting is the impeller rotates 1/4 turn and is caught magnetically.
I'm guessing the impeller must have a 4 pole magnet.

Playing around with a different brushless DC motor, the impeller rotated 1/2 turn.

Also, the propeller on mine hade rough spots of plastic left over from the mold casting process. Nothing huge, but I could feel it. I smoothed it up with fine sandpaper. Any fluid dynamics people out there that might tell me if that makes any real difference?

Come on people step up and donate to a good cause. A very small donation of $5 or anything will help. We will have Rrasco do the work and report findings. Add your name and to list and copy and paste in your post.

I know some guys that are just itching to open one. If I have to buy one on my own that's who I'm giving it to dissect.

So in testing with mine in Else mode. I see that collectively the WP40 draws .5 to .8 amps each of AC power based on the readings thru my RKE. this is set at 24 volts input.

Sorry if this has been asked and discussed before but has anyone come up with a simple way to connect this to an apex? I'm running mine in else mode but would like to control the intensity of the pump.
