These tanks remind me of the plastic cage they put Magneto into in that crappy movie. Talk about sterile. They could save money and get the same effect using plastic corals.

Not only is there a lack of coraline algea, but all other life besides corals and a fish here or there. There is no biodiversity, no mini-featherdusters, no sponges, no worms, etc. The effect is just basically just a boquet of flowers. Looks nice, but is not a replica of an ecosystem.

May be that is not what they are trying to achieve. Those tanks look more like a colorful glass picture then a fish/reef tank. It is some what inline with the Asian culture. Something nice, beautiful, and best of all it has water and fish in it. Water and fish means alot in the Asian fengsui(sp?)
I agree that the corals are really nice...but I don't like the look of the tanks at all.... I don't like BB (though I do like how it works) I hate that there is no live rock (to me one of the best parts of a reef tank) and the spotlights are lame..... It really does look fake...really fake..... It reminds me of a mother colony frag tank and not a display.... the corals are NICE but sorry to say the tanks are LAME.......
I also wonder about putting clams directly on the bottom... I didn't look what kind they were but to my understanding T. CRO.'s use an acid to bore into the rockwork.... I wonder if they can dissolve the acc. too???? Anybody know??
