"Best of" FO's (since we don't get TOTM's)

I agree with everything said by lisa and damnpepshrimp but i feel people that make comments like i hate you and your friend is out of line.Saying they are nice fish but your tank is over stocked and could cause problems long terms is prob a better way to go about it.

This is more along the lines of my point in my post above. Like I said, Im not condoning it. And yes, I do think its bad practice, but there's a good way and a bad way to get that information to someone.

Im just saying that personal, disrespectful words should never be used.

Everyone should just chill out and and 'get over it' ...People on this site are so disrespectful and harsh sometimes. :furious:

ice cream jones - who cares if you 'hate' AWoodCT & 'hate' his friend 10x more..no one cares about you either! :blown:

IMO - When it boils down to it people are always going to do what they want to do. You worry about your tank, and let everyone else worry about their's.

Im not condoning his :fish1: 'bio load' but let him do what he wants to do. Everyone bashing him isnt going to stop him from going to the LFS when his new tank's up and running and buying more fish.

GET OVER YOURSELVES AND GET A LIFE! Arguing with people across the country and world for that matter about fish load ina tank is childish and just a plain old waste of time...

You can say I'm childish, or out of line if you want, but I don't see this as a "hobby". I see fish as pets. No different than dogs, cats, ect. If you loved dogs, and saw someone who kept 18 dobermans, great Danes, rottweilers, huskys, and other huge dogs in a tiny kennel, you wouldn't care? Especially if he's planning on adding a clown trigger, the equivalent of a wolf of the canine species, which Is a matter of WHEN it will kill half of his fish, not IF. I see this as animal abuse, I feel sorry for you if you disagree.

I hate you. But I hate your friend 10x more. I wish there was some sort of Child protection service for fish that are being abused.
No matter what side of argument you are on, and if right or wrong; your comment is uncalled for and unprofessional. Internet drama only results in damage to camaraderie and only fuels more forum wars.

Thanks for the comments Jadams. I actually laughed when i saw ice cream jone's comments. I don't get upset over the internet, what's the point? lol. Anyways, I've kept my comments to myself when people, "attack" me regarding my tank or my friends tank. But bottom line is, as stated, we are not going to get rid of fish, and we are going larger w/ our tanks. Where the majority of you have 5 fish in equivalent size tanks, we are bored by this. No, I personally do not see them as the same type of pets as a dog, again, terrible analogy.

Seriously? You shouldn't own live animals if you're going to treat them like ornaments. Why not collect paintings instead?

AWoodCT, I have a ton of fish in my 240 and I think that I am over booked. I don't see fish as dog-like pets either, but still know when things don't look cool or fair for the animal. 35 fish in a 155 though? That's a double ton! What are the plans with the fish? That would easily fill a 800 gallon tank....to be fair, I don't know what I'll do either besides sell them off. I don't make enough for a 1000 gallon tank, nor do I have the interest in that kind of setup.

danorth, i agree with you that 35 is way overstocked for a 155. I would never do that. The fish aren't small either. They're being moved to a 300 by the end of April, still i feel it's too much, but i rather not comment on it. Afterall, it is not mine.

His tank is the same as yours. You have 18 in a 75 he has 35 in a 155. He has a little more then double the amount of volume but a little less then double the amount of fish. Both tanks are poorly stocked. You should see these fish as living creatures and think about their well being, not just as "collect as many fish as I can in a tank size I think is ok" because even when you upgrade to a 150g tall, its still a 4ft tank and not enough room for half of your fish, but you plan to add more! Also, your boredom with 4-5 fish in a tank is horrible, its all about you huh? Don't you think about the fish every and their well being? I agree with luxfox, you need another hobby, maybe you should switch back to freshwater where 18 fish in a 75g is acceptable. Also your advice on here isn't needed, we don't want more tanks like yours, and saying a sohal tang and a achilles tang will be fine in a tank together, your going to try it in your 150g, good luck buddy.

I think what i enjoy the most is the reaction i get from the majority of you on here. It's hilarious, I love it. Please, anyone else?

the troll is still hungry. :)
Yep, this thread used to have good energy to it... going down fast.

Lets bring this thread back on the positive side hopefully!

I did some changes to my 210g, gave the little angels to my brother and adopted some fish in need of better care. I still have my klunzinger wrasse and BDM eel in there. Also adopted 2 damsels, a cinnamon clown, and two tangs, a purple and a red sea salfin, both have horrible HLLE. So I am feeding the tank pretty heavily, adding lots of vitamins and garlic to the foods and several algae sheets a day. Any other suggestions for battling HLLE?

Anyway, here is the newly remodeled 210g, my eel likes to throw the rocks around, so its not how I wanted it, but nothing I can do about it. You can see my PVC algae sheet holder as well :)

Here is a crappy picture of all the new comers, hard to tell, but the tangs are in bad shape (appearance wise atleast, both eating and seem healthy/active). I have a RBTA from my reef I may add over for the clown, but worried when I add angels/triggers, they might tear it up.

Now lets see some other FOWLRS!!!!

I'm hoping so! They are supposed to be mean clowns, I need to find a mate for him/her. Then maybe add the RBTA. For now, my focus is getting the two rescued tangs back to health. Thanks for the compliments, I am not happy with it, but oh well!

I know you have some gorgeous fish Michael, time to post up some pics!
