"Best of" FO's (since we don't get TOTM's)

DPS - I've been off RADAR for a bit - last time we chatted your were having that white spot issue...... did that get resolved, and if so what was the outcome?

Michael, your killing us!

Matt, well during QT, I found flukes to be the culprit. So I treated the wrasse and eel, left the display fallow for 3 weeks (flukes dies off after 2 weeks). I recently added the other fish into the tank, even though they all have been through QT, I am treating the display with prazipro now. I have my old passer angel at my brothers in a holding tank, I will treat that as well. Plan to wait awhile before adding any new fish, so I can have these tangs heal up. I'll add new fish in groups (2-3) and treat the display with prazipro again just to be safe. I don't believe I will ever get rid of ich, but other diseases I will. Sorry about what your going through matt, I've been following your threads, tough situation to be in. Good luck with everything.

I'm actually getting a handle on it now, to be honest. I will be bining the sump in from the shed, putting it under the display tank, and running it as a refugium type filter system..... sort of "eco-system" style..... without the mud. Its still going to require some changes to the stocking regime etc., but I am viewing it as a new challenge and a new phase in the hobby for me..... no point in getting down over it....... its been a challenge for me in the last 2 yrs or so > new baby, wife packing in work, getting layed off work TWICE....... it seems every time I get back on my feet I am knocked down again, so I have come to the decision to make my hobby more "sustainable" so that it is not the on the front line the next time "cut backs" are needed.

Really glad you got your tank sorted.

REgards,

Matt

Matt, well I am glad your able to keep your tank. I saw you talking about getting triggers or lionfish etc. I know you were planning on getting rid of the anthias and other fish, but keep the emperor, is this still your plan? Your keeping the emperor right? Hopefully the job you have now stays, I too am in a tight situation with jobs. Hopefully I will get my new job by june, then the fun can really start with this hobby, if not, I may have to take a break, or downsize to a small reef, but FO is where my heart is, unfortunately they require big tanks.

Nice! That blueline is fiesty! Where is the bandit? QT? So when is the upgrade coming and whats next on the fish list? Love the angels!

Thanks DSP. The Little bandit is in QT :) He has started eating very well, and is doing great.

The next fish planned Angel on the list is a Conspic. But who know what will pop up. :)

~Michael

Yeah, I know you were looking at a conspic. Is that your last angel? 4 angels in a 4ft tank is going to be tight! Hope they all get along, because that is a lot of $$!

:) As of right now there are no issues. The Scribbled has picked a cave, the Personifer has, and the BL is just cool being there. :) He rarely ventures into the rockwork, he is like a little puppy.

Hopefully the 300 gallon tank will progress as quickly as Id like>

~Michael

There was a personifer in that video!?!?! I never saw it! Only the BL, scrib and bfly! So you'll have 4 angels in the 150g, then 5 when a conspic comes along, wow! Hope they all get along! Yeah the 300g would be nice, I am already wanting to upgrade my reef and FO!!!

Yes there are 4 angels in the 150. :)

they are getting along fine so far. Only some mild fluttering of fins. The conspic will not be added to this tank. I am finished with the angels for a while (until the 300+ arrives) :)

~Michael

You know the blue line and scribbled angel are heading for a showdown. You'd better ship the scribbled angel to me right away!
