Big day on LiveAquaria DD for anemone folks

Looks like there's going to be a mertensii and a couple magnifica on LA DD today. If you purchase them, please share your experience!

They haven't posted them yet. And the magnificas are described at "African Ritteri" so I assume it means a cooler color than the typical tan ones.

I have a Ritteri Anemone (Sri Lanka).

The coloring is the purple that people lust after.

typically african magnifcas will have a rusty red or maroon colored base, in my experience. or at least thats the draw of labeling a magnifica "african".

and divers den will send out a warning email (if youre on their mailing list) a few hours before their livestock goes live.

+1. I'm guessing it will have a red or maroon base, and light tips on the tentacles.

Me too. I've seen two at a LFS. I know one is still local and another went to the East Coast. The owner posts on RC. :beer:

Keeps the riff raff from picking it up. :crazy1: My understanding is that they're not any more difficult to care for than a gig or mag.

It looks a lot bigger than 5 1/2". Sounds like a really good size to start with though.
