i changed my lights from 6 x 96 pc to the 250w solaris. my 2 btas that never had bulb tips got bulb tips. i thought that was good. but since yesterday i think theu r losing color and look like they r starting to bleach. the difference in wattage isnt that much and the photoperiod (12 hours) is the same so i dont know whats happened. anyway i cut the leds to 50% blue and white power. is there anything else i can do ? should i shorten the photoperiod? will they survive?

You could shorten the photoperiod and get them used to the new lighting. could try to move them too, possibly a little more shaded area of the tank.

I agree wiyh crzy4reefs. Move the bta lower and slowly move it up. Normally these guys will move by themselves if they don't like the lighting or flow.

once they begin bleaching can u save them or r they finished?

sometimes they can be saved... most likely will have to be fed till the zooxanthellae come back.
