Bryopsis possible solution

Ok guys, I added 1400mg yesterday. I left the tank running normally. Today, I can not keep up with dumping my skimmer. Its going nuts! Should I shut it off?

Basically everyone has said leave it running for oxygenation but shut off the air/foaming action.

I removed my skimmer cup and just let the skimmer flow back into the sump for the fifteen days.

I removed my skimmer cup, but then the flow dropped below the top, and skimmate collected in the neck. I hope it did not remove a lot of the medication. :/

Everything has arrived and I'm starting tomorrow. One thing I am unsure of . I have gen3 radion pros , do I just turn off the uv channel on the lights or do I have to turn the blues off aswell ?

It's works!
I am at day#10 n good news most of the byopsis is gone n n only the 3 big patches left but are weaken. Pictures to be followed

Well, mine isn't bryopsis and while I was told it was a cladophoropsys that can also be a variety of GHA.

9 days in at 4500mg in a water volume of about 225g and I see no change at all. :(

yeah Ive been having a problem with turf algae in my tank and unfortunatly this stuff didnt work for me either. I started a dose and by the end of the first week the turf algae was noticeably growing larger, presumably bc I had my skimmer and GFO turned off.

this stuff works great on bryopsis but i wouldnt bank on it being a cure for much else.

Day 15 and my tank is free of bryopsis, I had a little turf algae that also disappeared. I have been one of the fortunate ones, vibrant has reduced my bubble algae to maybe 4-5 on a single rock. The bubble algae seems to turn a pale white in colour then fall off of the rock and get caught in my filter sock. During the treatment I didn't loose any corals or live stock from my tank. I read on reef central that one of the members kept his mag level very high and added vibrant to the the tank to hopefully kill off a bubble algae problem while he treated his tank with fluconazole. My T-5's were only on for 2 hours a day, white light only, no attinics. A 15% water change, fresh carbon and I actually enjoy looking at my tank again!!!

I run halides and VHO actinic supplement.

I have left them on. I understood most did not change lighting. Did I read wrong?

just for the record mine is all gone. I did the first dose as recommended and a lot of it went away after a couple weeks. Then for the little that was left, I'd add one capsule every other day, why was a total of 3 more. Skimmer left on and I'm totally blown away

I read that your UV should be turned off while you treat your tank, all of the bryopsis in my tank disappeared after the recommended 15 day treatment. Some people have had success leaving them on but I left them off and increased my magnesium level in my tank.

Tomorrow will be 1 week for me. I have very little GHA left. The Byropsis has taken one hell of a hit and there is very little let of that as well. What I do have going on is Cyano.. I've got a new pump in my tank with a whole lot more flow and its showing up all over my rocks.

Did others have this issue or will it go away eventually?
