HELLO TOO FLY. I want to price it first befor I can say for sure. If its not a problem?

Yeah, that's fine. That's essentially what we're all doing. If it's cheaper to go another route, then the group buy doesn't make much sense.

I believe the Mini 180 retails for $999 from most dealers.

I wouldn't fret Terry. Plus you're getting THAT GOOD, GOOD! nog already. :smokin:

No problem Alex.

Paul, very true, but I could have GOOD, GOOD, CHEAP, CHEAP nog  That extra money could've gone into another Tunze for my tank :D

CHEAP CHEAP? This is BK we're talking about.

Screw the Tunzes, git you one of them vintage, fugly-a$$ hang-on-the-tub Whirlpool Jacuzzi numbers. My grandparents had one. The thing created MAD flow. ;) It looked like a cross between an old 2-stroke outboard motor and a sewing machine.

speaking of flow, you need to go to Jar*head's thread and see the video he posted of his new tank with 4 waveboxes on it. 5" wave :eek2:

and he doesn't even have it on full power, nor does he have any of his 6301s on!

if we can get some more peeps, deeper discounts will be applied. anyone in particular dealer we need to grease :D

I think you guys will have better luck with either OC Aquatic or SoCal Tropical fish. Both are in Southern Cal

I have a 90g BB tank with an ~25g sump. About 115-120g total. I am trying to decide between a Deltec AP701, BK SM200, or BK Mini 200. What are your opinions? I have always run Deltec and have had no problems, but I have always wanted a BK. :) Do u all think the SM would be too much skimmer? Thanks!

The SM200 should be OK. It's rated 100-400g. You're at the lower end of the range, but should work out. I'm at the lower end of the range with my SM250, too...and u can see my pics ;)

if you go with the 250, you can just turn it down.

here's my 250 after i emptied it out on friday night... who says oversizing a skimmer is bad??? haha

my nitrates are around 5 now i believe and po4 is 0.04 on the hanna. Hoping the Bk will help me keep everything low. My nutrients always fluctuated with the euro reef... even tho i oversized that skimmer, it didn't pull out enough.

usually in the 10-25 range, more so towards 25, even with weekly water changes...but i also run a nitrate reactor

your nitrates were pretty high. do you run a fuge? well, looks like your BK is doing a much better job so far!

I know you were on the fence between BK and ATB. What are your thoughts now on your decision?

So much for the SMs not being able to skim dry :D Great pics guys!

No one said they could not skim dry, I had my reservations about it long term. It looks like i was wrong. :) I am no better than anybody here, Just a hobbiest who likes well made skimers. :)
