The new gen is almost the same as the coral plus, it just has a stronger green peak so it looks a bit whiter and brighter. So your preference is very close to the very commonly recommended combo of 5 blue 2 coral plus 1 purple plus...

I found with age that the ati bulbs turned yellow/green so was never a real fan f them.

I like the giesemann AquaBlue Azure as a very neutral white bulb. The Giesemann AquaBlue Coral Is supposed to have a spectrum similar to the Coral Plus. Which Giesemann do you like?

Very happy with this combo. My alk consumption really went up after adding a purple bulb to the mix last year fwiw.

I don't know why I keep a single blue+ in the mix lol...I ran 2 blue+ last batch and went to a single. I like the geisseman version much better, but the blue+ is a sure fire winner

Ha! That's the general combo I put in the six bulb fixture over the Flubber tank- 4 blue bulbs, one purple, one Lagoon blue(Aquablue Azure). It's a nice combo
