*d2mini's new 200g Reeftastic Build*

This is looking incredible! Can't wait to see it fully up and running.
Thanks! :)

Every post I get excited to see what's progressed. So envious...
haha, thanks! :D

So I just wanted to say....

:celeb2:HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!:celeb3:

And what better way to start the new year than a pic of the new tank! :fish2:
Still have a few coral to get in the tank, the two big stylophora's on the left need to be trimmed way down and glued to the rock, and the sps have a lot of coloring up to do. But we're getting there.

It's just so nice to finally have the tank back up and running again.
You wouldn't believe the stress of the last couple months.

And a similar shot of the old tank from 9 months ago.
Quite a diff!

Thanks to all those that have followed along, offered advise, sent PM's, etc.
Looking forward to lots of positive stuff for 2015! :wavehand:

Happy New year Dennis!
Glad to see everything back up and running!

Corey
Happy new year to you, too!

As always your tank looks gorgeous:)
Hope you will have a perfect reefing year 2015!

Best wishes

Thanks, everyone!

This project is the stuff DIY dreams are made of. Incredible. One day I will have something similar. One day. I better start driving a prius now too - so I can save on gas and be able to afford this monster.

Love it! Did the tank dimensions change? I'm sure it was mentioned in the thread but it's so long :)

Looking at the cabinets, the length did not change?

I'm stranded in dallas right now trying to catch a plane. If I would have known my flight was getting delayed I would have swung by and seen your reef in person. JK. Someday I hope when my wife and I find a place that we want to settle down in that I can build a tank like this!
Right now I'm content with my elos midi, but someday I'm going to want a much larger system.

Dennis, amazing job!!! Great call on your new overflow, night/day difference between old/new tanks!! Thanks for taking the time to share your build with us!!

Same dims.
Actually a hair smaller to make sure it fit the same hole.
That would have s u c k e d if it did not. ;)

All very positive! Everyone loves your builds.
haha, thanks!

Well next time you have a 10 hour layover let me know. ;)

Thanks!
But remember, its all brand new. Plenty of time for algae to grow!
I already have brown algae on the overflow that is not on the back wall yet.
There will still probably be some difference, but hopefully not as bad as the first round. :)

U have a beautiful tank. Love the fish room. I've stopped by frequently but don't remember if u said the reason why but what's is the reason u decided to not go with a cube again after the move. I would have loved to see a bigger cube that u could see three sides. With that being said I just set up a 93 cube about 3 months ago and already got the go ahead to upgrade once I pay my credit cards off. I think I will go with a custom 48×36×20 or 48x36x24. Once again beautiful setup.
