Jose my man! Still in Westminster but looking for a new crib. Were thinking of Irvine, Fountain Valley or North Tustin but haven't found a place we like yet. Thanks for the offer maybe when I have to move the tank...again.
Thanks Michael, going well but having a white bin for a "display" is depressing :sad2: Makes it hard to stay motivated to do the maintenance...at least I don't have to clean the glass :lol:

Hey Michael, thanks for the good thoughts. The house hunt is going pretty slow as inventory of houses is pretty low in the areas we're looking at or perhaps we're being too picky, I donno. As far as the fish and corals it's pretty depressing to have a white bin as a display. I haven't lost any fish (knock on wood) but I have lost a few colonies. My parameters were swinging like a pendulum for a while then I forgot to turn on my heater after doing a water change a few weeks ago. Temp dropped from 77 to 72 overnight before I caught it. Corals did not like that much. Most are pretty brown
I think I packed my camera battery charger so I've not been able to (and have had no desire to) take any photos :sad2:

Thanks Sara. I'm noticing a few colonies that are starting to look really bad. I've got a pair of Tunze 6105s going but maybe I need more flow. I think I'll hook up my Vortechs this weekend. As far as the house hunting, I'm hopeful that people start to list in prep for the spring buying season.

Kenny my man! Hope you're having fun playing coach. Actually I'm also getting more involved that I thought I would be in my son's baseball team this year and having fun doing it. Thanks for the offer, I think I'll try a few more things...who knows I may be looking for frags at this rate.
Thanks Brian, I know you speak from experience. Hard to get myself to go look at the white bin display. I think it's kind of out of sight out of mind plus the condition of the corals are depressing. Luckily the fish seem to be thriving.

Really sad to hear about your beatuiful corals. My tank might not be the greatest next to kennys, but I can hold some of your stuff if you need or I would buy some frags from you if you deicde to frag anything. All your frags that I have gotten are doing great. Let me know if I can help in any way. Hang in there Dan, everything is going to be alright.

Thanks Michael, it's nice to have so many people offer to hold corals. I really appreciate it. Still hanging in but having a white bin is not much to look foward to seeing and when I do look I see a bunch of brown sticks :sad2:

Thats got to be sad to see a bunch of brown sticks in there. I'm sure you will color them back up in no time once you get settled in somewhere and get your tank squared away.
I've going to have brown sticks in my near future as well. I am going to be moving soon too... I haven't researched yet the best way to relocate a tank, I'm putting it off because I don't even like the though of it. Unfortunately, the move is inevitable, so I should start reading up.

Ryan you know it. It's even hard to just go by the bin and look inside...my four year old giant Pink Lemonade that started as a 1" stick is almost completely gone

I'm running the stock Red Dragon pump that come with the skimmer. I'm not sure what model it is but I can look if you like...LMK
