Good luck Dan. May sure you have plenty of heaters, powerheads and such. You never know what can happen and its always better to be prepared.

Good luck with the move to the bin, I'm sure it will all work out. Does this mean for the next few months we will be getting all top down Happy Friday pictures?
Where do you plan to look for a new home, Yorba Linda? It is ranked top 2 best places to live in CA and supposedly they have excellent schools.

Thanks for the good thoughts guys, I can use all I can get.

Ryan, not looking in YB. Nice place and great reputation but too close to the sun and too far from work.

You're right, it can get as hot as the IE there.
Irvine

Cool, thanks for the offer Ramzy. I'm really interested in the suction cups. Not sure I trust those things...did they work well for you guys on big tanks?

They did work but they also did give out a few times by sliding. We would each use one and have another hand under the tank in case they gave out. They're great for the picking up and putting down the tank, but I agree with you I'd never fully trust them.

Btw, good luck on tanking down the tank! Looks like a great temporary set up!

Hey Dan - happy Friday and good luck moving the tank. If you help I am sure a bunch of us sgv guys can lend a hand.

Let me know if you see anywhere were I can make improvements. I got the glass shield just so saltwater wouldn't splash on the reflector. I remember on my old retro T-5s that when salt got on them it was impossible to clean them. Also in case water splashes on the bulb...I donno maybe cause the bulb to crack? Probably over engineered as usual. :o

Where did you get the glass shield for your reflectors? I'm going to get some MH reflectors too and I wanted to get the glass shields too. I had my fish splash some water on my MH and it cracked, good thing the glass didn't break before I got to change it. I don't want that to happen again. Thanks

Hope everything is doing ok Dan. Hows yhe holding bin doing?

As well as can be expected I suppose. I've never had to move stuff to a holding bin before. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks Ramzy. That sounds kinda scary, I think I'll go the OG way...no suction cups.

Thanks Toan. Hopefully Jimmy is available and my tank fits in his truck. Moving it less than 1/4 mile and hopefully I've got 6 guys lined up.

Got it from Marine Depot exactly for the reason you experienced. I had read on some thread where a light actually cracked and "stuff" dropped into the tank.

there should be enough sgv guys just let jimmy know. he will bring the crew over
that bin looks like terry's. i think he did the same thing

Thanks Sanh, I appreciate the offer. Trying to nail down a date and time. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes and I'll buy lunch after...In & Out maybe?

Don't let Jimmy near your house, EVER!!!!! :lol2:
Oh geeze I forgot about the curse :fun5:

Hope the livestock move went well for you ... any updates?
Hey Sara, well I got everything moved over on Saturday. It took much longer than I anticipated and spent most of the day Sunday setting up the equipment and still didn't get it all done. I think everything made it over but I'm sure that the parameters were swinging like a pendulum. I made a lot of accidental frags that I couldn't deal with at the time and just threw them into the tub. The tub is PACKED...I guess I have more corals than I thought :o I did snap a few pictures and will get them posted as soon as I can. Thanks for checking up on me...my back is killing me from bending over so much.

Thanks for the update Dan. Things like this never go as planned and it takes a whole lot longer than ever expected or anticipated!

I'm thinking about taking a couple days off this week to start working on my project as well.

Here are some pics from the tank move...sorry for the poor quality but all I had was a point and shoot. Looks like most everything made it OK but I am seeing some issues. Pink Lemonade is RTNing from the tips down and there is some damage to the Ice Fire...hope they'll pull through.
