DanW's 187 SPS Dominated Reef Journal

That sucks sorry to hear about that Dan. I hate it when corals sting each other.
Thanks Ramzy.

Sorry to hear about your corals Dan, you didn't get a tank sitter this time to watch it? How bad is the damage?

Michael
Hey Michael, I did have my brother watching the tank but he basically just feeds the fish. Doesn't really notice at what is happening inside. Sorry for the bad picture.

Still recovering but beginning to look a little better but I've noticed that my O. Tort (top left) is lightening up a bit

That just sucks, somthing similar happened last time too when he watched your tank. How did the berghias do, is your aiptasia still around? The chalice should heal up, doesn't look too bad. Very nice skimmer by the way, wish I had the extra cash for a BK. :(

Wow your pink lemonade is huge!!! Corals are all looking good.

Do you have any coraline on your rocks? Or is it just the picture? My rocks look like yours in the picture also and my tank has been up for almost a year.

Hey Michael. Yeah last time I think it was the ECC Hybrid that flipped over and eventually died. The berghias did a fantastic job they got all but one which was near where my clowns nest. The clowns probably didn't let them get close; I never saw them after they finished their job so I couldn't pull them out. And regarding the BK, fantastic skimmer and I highly recommend it but yes, they are ^$. Have you gotten your tank straightened out yet? Are your SPS doing OK?

Thanks Ramzy. I do have some coralline but I recently pulled a long spine urchin that started off small and got huge over a few months. He's down in the sump now but left me with a little moving present in my thumb for my troubles. In case you're wondering digging the tip of an urchin spine out of your thumb is not easy and a little painful:o. I'm pretty sure that he was doing a good job mowing down the coralline in my tank, wonder if it will come back. I never had much in this tank before, IIRC in my last tank under T-5 I had huge coralline growth.
