I have the anemone that is on the left. It came with my tank when I bought the tank. Could you please tell me what it is? I thought it was a GBTA but after looking at pics I guess not. Thanks.
The creature on the left in the photo is not an anemone but is a Euphyllia ancora, or anchor coral. It has a hard skeleton. Certain clownfish will host in it though.

Here is an anenome, I got from a friend of mine years ago when his split. I always had a good idea of what it was, but never 100% Postitive. I'd love to find another the same, but both me and him tore down our tanks years ago. (i've since gotten a new tank) but can no longer find this anenome/colour morph.

Here it is not to long after it split it's healed up but still a little bleached.

Here it is after it coloured up.

I want to say Heteractis magnifica, but never was 100%

I'd say it's magnificent, and seems to be a Heteractis, but don't know about magnifica. Its column would be "highly colored" if it is a magnifica, but doesn't appear to be from the upper photo. H. crispa has a duller column, and prominent verrucae (bumps) on its column, while H. magnifica is smoother. H. crispa can be purple also, so I'd think it's a H. crispa from the pictures.
Hope that helps.

Thank you. Now, is it supposed to have the "bubble" tips? I haven't seen mine do that

That is a whole can of worms you are trying to open. ;)

In short, no one really knows why some have them and some don't -- some of speculated, but nothing concrete (( meaning works even 50% of the time )) has come from it.

Myself, I have tried (( back when I kept BTAs )) with the same BTAs;

Less light (( PCs )) more light (( MH/T5 combo ))
More feedings (( weekly )), no direct feedings
High flow/low flow
Hosting/not hosting,

The end results were the same -- no bulb tips.

OK I am not worried about it. Had it for over a year, feed it once a week. just split a few months ago. It is doing great in my opinion. Thank you for all the info. I appreciate it.

Here is my green H. malu. Not that you can tell from the picture but he is a male. Let me know if you wan a full resolution picture

ok so i was bought a whole tank set up online for 100 bucks. (the person was moving) so i couldn't pass up the deal, it was a 20g tank w\ this anemone (not sure what kind it is) but it also had 2 clowns (not the ones in the pic, i put the new ones in my quarentine tank) 1 lined wrasse, 1 firefish, 1 blue leg crab, lots of hermits, lots of snails, 1 zoe, 2 tiny fether dusters, a cucumber...anyway you get the point....lots of stuff for 100 bucks.

but i don't know what kind of nemmy this is, i looked online and at every page on this thread...no luck, any help?

someone told me that mine is a purple tip sebae....but the tenticals don't look long enough....although that would explain why my ocellaris clowns aren't hosting it...any thoughts...??? mine is posted 3 or 4 posts up...

Honestly, I have no idea -- if it is a hosting anemone it is in pretty poor condition. It has started to consume its tentacles for energy, and the mouth being open like that is a bad sign, no matter what type it is.

That rock looks pretty darn fresh, not sure how long previous owner had that running, but usually we advise having a pretty established/balanced tank before adding a nem.
I'd keep an eye on that, may be on it's way out.
Also, hopefully your other clowns that are in QT won't be added to this mix, one pair only, and that size tank is about max w/ what's in it right now, and actually that nem is probably going to be too big if it survives.
