i missed how you mentioned making the sump into a species tank for it, good idea :)

Thanks Ryan - you can used your planned frag tank for a species tank, if you like as I presume it will be a while before you eventually get to used it for frags :D

nice frog fish! ! ! ! it looks awsome! ! !

Thanks Rob. Now I need to clean the glass there a little to see him better :p

Yes Sandy, in my sump design, I have 1 section where I have it connected to be used for frag or quarantine tank but I guess it's now the new home for my froggie... :)

I got some new LS last night...will post later once I downloads those pictures... :)

Thanks Mark. Golden Angel is doing well. Over the weekend, she decided to live in the overflow  and I spend last night trying to fish her out. Took me over an hour to get her out of there... guess there is lot's of sponges and stuff living in my overflow

Anyway, she is now back out and about and getting a little braver and trying to fight with the bad boys for the food during feeding time, but she is always so slow. :p

I just removed my blue stripped rabbit too. I knew he was a shroom and zoo eater when I got him, but he's a clam nipper too!

Thanks Bax - been a few late night fishing and yet not successful in catching him. Don't want to drain the tank so will keep on trying..... :mad2:

WATER PARAMETER UPDATES….

WATER PARAMETER UPDATES….

After running my Calcium Reactor in a lower Ph for 24 hours and a 15% WC over the weekend, did a test again last night using Elos

Ca â€"œ 400
Mg â€"œ 1250
dKH - 7

Much better and closer to NSW but I would still like to bring up my Ca to about 420 â€"œ 450 as it give me more room for error :D

I just hung an algae clip first thing in the morning, before the normal feeding.

When he came up to feed BAM! He got the net and into QT he went! :smokin:

Problem is my two tangs are usually faster than him :eek2:

BUTTERFLY IN REEF

BUTTERFLY IN REEF

I DID IT….!!

LFS called last night that they just tore down a local FWLR reefer’s tank and they got a pair of Pyramid Butterfly and I simply couldn’t resist as I’ve been waiting for them like forever….. I’m actually planning to add another one so to make 3 to a school

In the same tank is also a beautiful Golden Masked Butterfly. Hopefully he will keep my SPS polyps alone when sufficient fed, as coral polyps are not his 1st choice of food but with all Angels and Butterflies, you can never tell

So far all 3 of them don’t show any interest in my Corals but my feather duster has sense DANGER and gone into hiding ever since I added the wrasse so now he only comes out at night….hahaha

More Butterflies….

Another butterfly I’m planning to add (if I can find one) is either:

- Tinker Butterfly (Chaetodon tinkeri) OR
- Latticed Butterfly (Chaetodon rafflesii) OR
- Blacklip Butterfly (Chaetodon kleinii) OR

I was told another local reefer have a tinker in his tank for more than 6 months already but wanted to sell it for double the price as his tinker is already eating like a pig so I’m still thinking if I should cause personally I would prefer a kleinii over a tinker if I can find one as the colors are more interesting IMO!!

What’s you guys think?? A stable eating tinker for a much higher price or wait out for a kleinii??

Ed,
I am loving the new additions! Can barely wait for a FT shot! I have to say that I am absolutely green with envy;)

PRYMID DIDN’T MAKE IT

PRYMID DIDN’T MAKE IT

Sad news guys………one of my Pyramid butterfly didn’t make it. Somehow she manages to get herself stuck between my LR and can’t get out. She was swimming fine yesterday and I found her stuck there today when I check my tank :sad1:

“Rest in peace”

Come yesterday evening both my Golden Masked and remaining Pyramid Butterfly are already eating frozen brine shrimps :spin2:
