Ever see a clown like this?

It is bluish due to the light only. It is one of these midnight clowns. All I see is a badly deformed Ocellaris. This fish does not appeal to me at all but to each his own.

It's not black, it is blue regardless of the lighting. I think it's the prettiest clown I've ever seen by a mile, your typical orange with white stripes holds zero interest to me.

If you put it under 6500K light (or natural sunlight) it will be black. Sorry to burst your bubble.

It doesn't even look blue in the video, even though there is obviously a ton of blue light over the tank.

Agree 100%

I too am not into all these highly marketed deformities

Ok, under just the metal halide light it's black - I don't ever just run that light without the blue, so thanks to those pointing that out. It's definitely a midnight clown, which if you do a search on them you will learn they are neither deformed nor unnatural. They are extremely rare and sell for $90, making them a heck of a lot more special than your dime a dozen $20 striped clowns every tank seems to have.
Appreciate the couple opinions that were worthwhile in this thread though.

These animals are not deformed either. Perfect specimens

Cost doesn't make them "special." Gullible people who don't question the marketing and buy these fish make them "special."

Eric like it or not many posters in this thread have years of experience. You posted a question and it was answered and explanations given. It's up to you to take or ignore it because you don't like it.
