I have a frag of it that I got from exoticfrags.us about 6+ months ago. It came in green (which I"ve been told is a result of too much light.) I have it about 16 inches away from 8 ATI T5s and it is still green. slow grower IME. I will dust off the ole camera and post pics of it this weekend.

It definitely needs to hit a certain size before your begin to see the rose tips. I'll try to post one later when I am at home.

As mpoletti stated it is definitely a size thing. I mounted a second colony a while back just to show how the teal is more related to the size of the colony.

reefer08 - your girlfriend lives like 3-5 minutes away so it's not like you can't come see it for yourself!

Very nice sonnus!:D

Thanks gcarrol, it is actually in low light and keeping great color. I had it up at the top of the tank and the colors were even better.

I got one from exotic frags as well and mine also came in green. It actually grew pretty quick for me. It did end up dying for some unknown reason about 8 months later. It was the only coral in my tank that kicked the bucket at the time....weird

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but was wondering if anyone had any recent colony sized pics of this one for me to compare mine too?

Here is my piece

Wow yours has some great color! I ended up selling mine a few months ago because I was never able to keep the right color. It grew into a large colony but color was not good so I gave up on it. Hopefully the new owner of it can get these great colors out of it that I wasn't able to.
