Tee,
Just had a chance to check your updates since my last post. Still haven't finished all the renos on the main floor. I did however move our bed over to the new house so we have been at least sleeping there for the last 4 days. The wife is happier ... 4 months later lol. It takes a long time when you do it all yourself.
Don't you just love the domestic tranquility - when Momma is happy?Glad to hear you are progressing along - I know about the do it yourself...I drew and built this place...took extra time, but was really worth it.
Anyways, I like the light. Thanks! Seems to be working out very well! I wish I could have made it to MACNA this year. That must have been pretty awesome! It was the best one yet, and I have been to most of them. Hope you can make it to Iowa this year!I also really enjoy the fish room shots. Thanks again!I saw you mentioned that you got a profilux with dosing pumps. What are you using those for?Have not gotten them hooked up yet, but have everything to set up dosing Balling method, and other trace elements as desired. I also have a GHL 4 pump standalone dosing unit but am not sure if i will end up using it or not. Last question, How do you have your water change system setup? If you look at the "trapeezed pump" picture - then look left of it on the same shelf, there is a twin head diaphram pump. This one is much higher volume than the small dosing dosing pumps, like the Profilux. This one can exchange 30 gal. per day!. But, that would be running 24 hrs, continously. I am setting it up via timer to run for 4 hrs, thus changing 5 gallons per day. It takes water from the tall narroow 150 gal. vat on the right of the same photo I referred to earlier, and puts it in the sump, near the return pump intake. At the sam time it is removing the same volume of water from the other end of the sump - near the pipes from the the tank overflow - and then sending that to the floor drain. I am told that because the two pump heads are powered by the same motor and shaft, they will likely always parallel one another, so you don't have salinity creep up or down from the waterchange aspect. You briefly mentioned that you had a pump, but could you go into more detail? Are you using this in conjunction with a controller? If so, What frequency does it happen?Simple lamp timer. On period, 4 hours off for the remaining 20 .
Thanks
Rob
