How not to build a 750/1500 gallon build thread-Khaosinc 3/5/71-8/30/11

"LOL... having had a real nipple ring ripped out in a fight, I stick with tattoos"
That sounds painful!

That skimmer is unbelievably awesome!

One of the things I do every night is look at this thread to see what you did last night/this morning...Let's have an update! You must have been fixing or tearing something apart;)

Actually I took a break last night and started trying to clean out a room thats been storage since I moved in to this house 12 years ago.

Man I have alot of weird stuff in there.

Why are none of us surprised by this? :lmao:

That skimmer is awesome! I did see some bigger though. The Atlanta Aquarium! They had rows of skimmers that were like 12' high. Absolutely insane... But hey, a few million gallons of water is a bit different.

(what did get a laugh out of me were the pallets of instant ocean in 1 ton bags)

LOL... I've barely scratched the surface, but I can actually walk in there now. If I stay motivated long enough hopefully alot of this junk will end up of Ebag...

Really, I don't need to be on the hoarders show....

Need a Zombie?

Could you imagine if the hoarders people came to your place? All that tank stuff alone, would just as the tip of the ice burg...

Or they'd completly understand and just leave...probably not though...

LOL. they couldn't move it out anyway, it weighs too much. it might be the first time they just give up and leave without doing anything. :)

They would have to remove a wall to get that tank out of there. I put it in after the tank was in the house.

And I have no idea.. I'm not ready to get rid of the paintings yet.

Thats my problem. I have an issue with the "oohh it's shiny" concept. On top of that, years ago when I lived on the other coast I dated an antique/art dealer. Strange group those people are.... worse than reefers.

Suppose I should get back to actually working on the tank... or take a nap... one of the two.

Maybe even find my living room under all this junk.

Some of the albums and hot wheels could be worth alot of money Kev. Let alone the art.
OH and BTW thanks ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! now i have CANT TOUCH THIS STUCK IN MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hammer: go hammer go hammer

We shall see on the records. I put em in 5 lp lots and through them all up there for a penny. Some of them are up around $13-$14 in less than a day. Old punk stuff seems to sell pretty good, and I have tons of it from the 80's. As for the cars, its a toss up. I don't understand the market, so I might do the same thing with them. I know some of the art is worth thousands, but most of that stuff has been in my family for close to 100 years. I have a portrait of my Grandmother at age 7, her mother and grandmother done by some female who later became quite famous in the 30's and 'uncle Nick' though I'm not entirely clear how I'm related to him, but thats how he's always been refered to was somewhat infamous for stealing a whole mess of confederate money right before the end of the civil war.. no one knows where he went with it...LOL.

Back to fun filled fish stuff...

Puffer is actually eating and looking good finally as is the Koran Angel. Eel is still Camera shy...

And thanks to some drunken Ebay bidding My frag/grow out tank is looking like one. Finally chased down the problem with the RKE. Pinched a wire leading to the pc4's on the other side of the room so now it even has light. Still need to get everything else on them.

The "OH IT'S SHINY" concept. LMAO... I hear your pain. I solved mine by downsizing from ~4000 sq-ft + 5 car garage to a 1200 sq-ft loft with one parking spot. Very liberating getting rid of 300 CD's & vinyl including MC Hammer, Milli Vanilli & Wham... yowza!
